Chapter 19 - Chapter 18

Alexa

Michael didn't come home after him saying that she was his mate. She felt slightly giddy, being the destined partner of the male who touched her heart, it was too good to be true. It still bugged her being his cousin though not by blood anyway.

It was six o'clock as she went towards her bedroom. She was met with a royal blue box with a honey brown bow. She smiled and went to open it but stopped.

There was a note:

Seeing that you remember everything, I want you to go to the place where I said you to look yourself in a mirror. Don't look at what's inside yet, my mate. Now, go.

She smiled and took the box, heading towards the garage. The outside light was on and she saw a paper on the floor- diary pages.

Her hand shook as she saw that it was a part of the diary of her mother that they hadn't given to her.

It was about her. Her mother telling about the first word she told: mom. She had written, 'the love I felt for her was indescribable. I had more than I hoped for. My two little girls with me and now my younger is starting to talk. I am proud to have them as my kids.' Her favourite fairy tale book was Little Red Riding Hood. The first day she started walking.

There was a note attached to it, written by his elegant handwriting.

I want you to go to the place where you felt so angry.

She went towards Carole's meat shop and there it was.

This time her mother had written how she had got onto a fight with another little girl in kindergarten when she had called her mother ugly. 'I wanted to be angry with her but, how can I? She's my brave little kind-hearted princess.' Her eyes filled with tears and she brushed them off.

As she expected there was another note,

Go to the place where you said that I was a damn werewolf. P. S: still hurts.

She laughed and went to the place Michael had dropped her after saving her from being hit by a car. It was then she realized that that lake was the wallpaper in one of their bedrooms.

This time the diary pages said of how she had come out clean to her mother when she had broken her favourite vase and hid the pieces. 'I am proud to call them my children. She has a really good heart. I only hope for her best. And Alexa, one day if you are reading these, I may not be alive but always follow your heart. Your heart knows what right. Believe in yourself. And remember I am always there for you, I am always alive in your heart, my baby girl. Don't always blame your father. Don't hate him. He's a good person. He loved you, no matter who you are or what he said.'

She realized she was crying, she felt arms wrapping around her and inhaled that spicy scent.

"Thank you," she whispered.

"Anything for you, sweetheart," he said and kissed her forehead, "you are the most awesome, beautiful, annoying, brave, hot, kind hearted, intelligent girl I've ever met. I am glad you are my mate."

She smiled at him and he kissed her till she felt as if she'd pass out.

She realized that all was connected; Michael asking her to go to the place they met where their relationship has started. There first stepping stone just like her mother had written about her first times. Then him asking to go to the place she had felt angry and hit Marcus and being brave like her mother writing of how she felt angry and hit the other girl. Then him confessing her his deepest secret like she told her mother. Michael asking her to follow her heart indirectly.

He waited till she calmed down and took her hand. They went towards his black BMW and drove off.

"Nice car," she said.

"I know," he said, smiling at her.

"Seems like your garage work is improving," she said, feeling happy for him.

"Did you really think I only have a garage?" he asked.

She arched her eyebrow.

"That is just to be near my pack. I have men working for me all around the state. Our pack is the biggest. The Richmond company is mine. I work from home."

Her mouth dropped open.

"You are the CEO of the biggest company known and you never thought of telling me?"

"You never asked."

She huffed and looked out.

He sighed. "Look, I'll explain when I get there ok?"

She nodded and waited.

As he pulled up in front of mansion, she asked, "Yours?" to which he nodded. "It's beautiful," she said.

"Not as much as you," he said. In spite of herself, she blushed.

CEO of a company, a werewolf. This man is full of mysteries, she thought, and charming.

He smiled at her and lead her towards the metal door to which he placed his hand print on the place where the handle was supposed to be.

The door opened to reveal a beautiful, white washed interior, where the left wall was glass.

She had plenty of questions but she knew she'll have to wait. He'll explain everything to her when he's ready.

"Our home," he said, softly.

What now? She opened her mouth to argue but he beat her towards it.

"You better get dressed," he said and after giving her another note and vanished down the hall.

Go to the room AW, second floor. You'll find everything you want inside the box and the room.

She headed upstairs and saw the room marked by that and went inside. She sucked in a breath as she looked around.

It was occupied with a floor length mirror and all the make-up items she dreamed of having, racks of clothes, shoes, etc. She opened the box to meet with a royal blue off-shoulder silk dress, which she fell in love with instantly, which was tight up to her waist and had pearls surrounding the netting which started from her waist and flowed down above the silky material and stopped near her mid-thigh. She pinned her hair back and let them flow freely. She put on her pearl earrings, necklace and bracelet. He had even bought her a blue silloute.

She opened the door to meet her handsome mate. He was dressed in a white shirt which was rolled up at the sleeves. Black pants and a royal blue tie.

He stared at her. "You look-," he stopped ad tried again. "You look beautiful."

She blushed, "You don't look bad yourself."

He grinned and took her hand and led her towards a room labelled A&L.

"Alpha and Luna," he said.

"You were serious when you said that this is-"

"Yes," he said, "Don't care much about the security. My dad would go nuts if I didn't provide you with the best security ever. Me being the Alpha and all, I have enemies. I don't mind what happens to me but you being in danger," he stopped and shook his head.

"I'll never leave you. I can protect myself; you know. Or maybe you can teach me," she said to which he nodded.

The house was just like Michael's parents' house, but a little bit more breath-taking. It was a two-story mansion with three bedrooms and one guest room.

He led her through their room and went to the balcony where he had prepared a candle lit meal. She inhaled deeply.

"Smells awesome," she said.

He inhaled and growled. "Oh, yeah," he said and winked at her to which she blushed again.

"I want to start a new life with you, Alexa. You are my mate. This is your house as much as my own. You are our Luna," he said, as he pulled out a chair to her.

She sat down and waited till he continued, "My mother was a professional dancer and she performed for my father during a trip. It was all true. Then he was the CEO. But after what happened to grandpa, I just couldn't go and work in a company. So, I sent my Beta, second in hand to work in the company as the CEO. My brother wanted to be the Alpha but didn't want to take my place so he went to get his own pack. Most of my men whom I had spread out across the continent finds werewolves and bring them to our pack, where we help and train them."

She nodded and waited. He looked at her for a while.

So that's why there were no pictures of him even being the owner himself, she thought.

"Hey, it's no big deal," he said, to which she glared. "Okay, so I am sorry that I didn't tell you before. Making me the CEO doesn't change anything. I am the same old guy."

She nodded again.

"Please say something," he said.

"There's nothing to say Michael, how many other secrets do you have?"

"Well nothing much, you know everything about me. This house is ours. Think of it as a gift from me. You can decorate it as you wish if it's not up to your standard. This contains a swimming pool, gaming room, TV room, gym..."

"My goodness!" she exclaimed. "I thank you for everything you did and all but I am not talking about the house. I am talking about you. Please don't keep anything from me again."

He took her hand and looked into her eyes, "I promise that I'll never keep anything from my love again."

Her heart fluttered as her eyes widened.

"This food is delicious," she said, stupidly, and smacked herself in her mind.

He smiled at her and resumed finishing his dinner. She looked at him for a moment and let her eyes explore. The balcony opened to a garden with a fountain in the middle. Forests covered the house like a fence. Towards the North she could see something vast, dark, stretched throughout the horizon.

"Is that the sea?" she asked.

"Yeah, I heard you telling mom that you wanted to see the sea, so I made a home for you near it. So that in the morning, as soon as you wake up you can look at it and feel at peace," he said.

"Thank you," she said.

He looked at her but didn't say anything.

"What?" she asked but he just shook his head and said that it was nothing. They stayed in a comfortable silence until she decided to break it.

"Let's play a game," she said.

"Aren't you too old for that. Remember you said that you are a woman now," he said, eyes twinkling.

"Ow, c'mon," she pouted.

He looked at her lips and his eyes darkened. "I really want to wipe it off your face."

She smiled cheekily, he sighed.

"What's your favourite colour?" she asked.

"Green."

"Why?"

"Because it reminds me of the woods. The smell. The freedom."

She nodded, smiling at him, he looks so cute.

"Well, my favourite-"

"Royal blue" he finished, "you stole my royal blue phone case once, though your phone brand is different to mine!"

She groaned, while he looked at her pointedly.

"I'm sorry?" It came more of as a question.

"Whatever," he said, looking up as if to say, seriously?

She shrugged and continued. "Mischievous thing you did in school?"

"Fixing a bucket full of snails on top of science master's room," he said and grinned, "That was hilarious."

"I don't want to know about it" she said.

Poor teacher, she thought.

"My turn. One thing you feel about been mine?"

The question caught her off guard but she didn't need to reply as he pulled her towards him.

Michael

She didn't need to reply as all her feelings was seeing in her eyes.

He mustered up his courage and said, looking into her honey-brown depth, "I love you, Alexa Weinstein, My Luna, my mate, my love."

She looked quite shock, her eyes filled with tears as she said the words that made his life complete, "I love you too, Michael Greymund, my Alpha, my mate, my handsome jerk."

He laughed and kissed her again.

"I want to mark you as my own," he said between kisses.

"Then do, my mate," she said, her eyes determined.

"Does it bother you that me being your cousin?" he asked as he pulled back.

"No," she whispered. But little did they know that one diary page would say otherwise, as he carried her to bed.
