Michael
He paced back and forth in front of them, frowning as he thought of a plan. He hadn't taken a liking to the fact that the vampire hunters are joining them after what Margaret did, but Rick wasn't letting them go anywhere either. As he suspected, after what Alexa told about his little episode, Atlanta was his mate. Michael knew that he won't let her go and if he made her, Rick would probably leave. He understood the mating urge. He'll walk to the end of the world with Alexa and give his soul before anything happens to her. She's his first main priority. So, he can't blame Rick.
"As you all know... this means war. They won't stop and obviously they are preparing their attack. The time has start for us to gather our packs for it. They won't stop at anything now as Bryan escaped. Today, gather your packs," he told, looking at all his friends. "Sharp at eight o'clock, shift!" the werewolves nodded their agreement as their alpha used his command tone, no pack member can resist a direct command from their own alpha and they were only too happy to comply.
Alpha, what about the northern pack? His pack members asked their questions.
That's one of the fun parts being a werewolf… you can read each other thought. But the annoying part is… they can also read your thoughts. I wish I could read her thoughts, he thought, sighing. Since Alexa was a half vampire, he still doesn't have the ability to read her thoughts.
We know that feeling alpha, his thoughts was pierced by Chris's annoyance.
Yeah, do you know how hard I try to read Atlanta's thoughts? Damn it!
Rick! He thought, seriously man? Not cool.
Or yeah? So, it's cool for you to read Alexa's thoughts huh? That was Ray.
Oh, shut up! I am your alpha for god's sake! And I want to know what goes on in that beautiful mind of hers.
If I knew a girl could turn you this childish, I would have loved to set you up with my annoying cousin sister, thought Stephen, trying hard to keep a straight face. At this time almost all the gathered members are trying hard not to laugh.
Michael glared till they straightened out.
I would have kicked your ass if we were alone.
I knew I should have blacked them out. That was the only way he could cherish in his own private thoughts.
Answering your question before you all distracted me…No, after Marcus's little stunt the other week chasing my mate, I think we'll be able to handle this alone, he sent his command telepathically. They nodded and stood up to leave.
Alexa
It was fifteen minutes to eight and she was on the edge.
"But Michael! What if they don't want to help us?"
"Baby, you are our Luna. And they will help us. They can't say no to their own alpha. Bryan's pack only listen to him and he wants to help. The only problem is with the southern pack. I have my own ways to make them help us," he thought, his eyes taking their usual mysterious way.
No doubt of that, she thought.
"I wish I could read you thoughts," he said out of the blue.
"Well I am glad you can't," she blurted out and instantly went red. He looked at her for few seconds and roared with laughter.
"I will only feel it if you are in danger," he said, "to which I am grateful."
Her heart filled with love as she gazed into his eyes.
"Time for you to start the gathering, my Alpha," she said.
"Yes, my Luna. Come downstairs only when I tell you."
She nodded and watched as he closed the door.
She went towards her window and looked at him proudly while he shifted. The massive black wolf, with his coat shimmering in he moonlit night, looked at her one time, lifted his head towards the moon and howled, a clear commanding noise cut through the air in all directions.
The nearby clock struck, when the air was pierced by answering howls and the woods rustled as wolves appeared from every direction.
She exhaled the breath she never knew of holding and thought, so it begins….
