Chapter 6 - The Cottage of Ugly Drama

"Oh, my goodness has gone out of my sight. There have taken away my joy and announced pains on me. And I saw an ugly drama, exposing me to danger. Can the street dogs, who had no future, share their love with humans?"

James Parker could not stop, portraying his love for Jessica, even when people are around them. "When I think of you, I always see you at the center of my heart, where the candles of love are lightening to shine in our path.

When I opened my eyes, I see you and me in the city of love.

Whenever the people on the darkest side of life, hit us with negative words, I always have the confidence, soonest, they would dry off like a leaf; waving in the wilderness of no hope. But still, the trees are alive, while it stands, firm to produce good fruits in due season.

My dear, we are the trees that produce endless love. Don't let the devilish words, contradict your hearts from me. Our love is still on and on; no one can stop it. As long as no one can stop the rising of the Sun, neither the Moon – no one can ever stop my loves from you." He gave her a warm kiss and then he smiles at her. "Since you came into my world, there is no more darkness in me. But pure light, shining on my path.

My world was missing someone like you, while I took my mind to the Island of dystopia. Now, I have found you and I can't do without you. Jessica, you are the only Sun in my cloud and the only missing Moon on my path.

The Moonlight has shared her joy with the Stars in the night in other for us to feels our lives with love. I never knew it would be you, sharing my joy, together with you in the darkest

hour of my life. It is now, I am a complete pair." Jessica smiles, earnestly. "You make me who I am at this point and mold me in the ladderway of love. This is the precious moment, giving you a complete day of my life. The passion between us is so strong and ferocious to those that see the feelings as it is shining between us, even a thousand years to come. Me for you – you for me. . . .!

As you go home, kindly remind your parents about our marriage, which is coming up in the next three months."

"Your wishes are my command.

Thank you so much for being so good to me in everything," Jessica commented.

"Wow, I'm ready to go with you into one glooming union with an extra mile. And nothing can stop me from loving you," she looks towards James as if there is another rapture, wanted to engage them before the dawn of the new day.

It's naturally believed that life without love is alive without life. In a real sense, the right hand can't do without the left hand. J- J- as James Parker normally calls her, has finally been free from fashion design after three years of apprentices.

James had fully partnered with her. They turned their hobby into a hub of fashion design, which he named the company as J- J- Fashion Enterprise. There also creates an empire of fashion and design, as a one-stop-shop in Delid City and environed.

Fashion design becomes part and parcel of their lives: for such reasons, they made it mandatory to travel from far and near to showcase their different, ready-made clothes of all kinds within and outside of the city as at when due.

Six months later, James began to change his character towards his wife, Jessica. She began to murmur within herself. After some weeks, she could not bear it any longer.

She exposed all her pains and grievances to him, face to face. "James, my bitter honey, I have seen a lot of changes in you all these days towards me. A wife is always speaking, eat and drink with her husband, one on one.

As a husband, you no longer care about me. Tell me, what have I done wrong to you that I deserved such wickedness.

I have observed that you no longer gave me sweet honey to drink. Rather, you have pull a bitter heart on me.

Is the love no longer booming in your heart towards me?"

James did not know exactly what she was talking about and he blip at her. "What changes are you talking about?"

"I notice that your attitude has changed towards me. Tell me, do you have another wife apart from me?"

"No! I don't have any. What do you notice about me?" James replied.

"Good question! You really know am pregnant; soonest, I would deliver a baby, which I know you are looking for a male child. You don't even care about me, as you used to do in the past. Is over two weeks now, you have rejected to eat my food. Neither cares to drink my water. Do you think I want to poison you?

And again, you have stopped, taking me out for shopping, nor even taking me out for a dinner at Delid City Restaurant as you used to do. I also notice that whenever you prepare for a church service, you don't care to take me along. It has proved to me that the ugly pictures in me, has exposed more danger towards me.

Is that what you are nursing in mind ever since?" she fumed.

"My dear, it is not true! I still love you. I mean – natural love. Since you came into my life, you have brought light into my soul. I mean a genuine light that no one can dim. But I knew no one is perfect. With your love, I'm well please. Just take it easy from me," James wailed.

"Dear, how can I take it easy with you, when you are denied to do your primary duties as a husband? It means what people are saying about me is true. If people are telling you, I am ugly and you truly believe that is true. If you said that I am not ugly, why don't you love me as a wife?

Some weeks ago my heart has announced to me that you have decided to take me as your house helper, instead of a wife. Why don't you allow me to stay on my own with my ugly face?" Her face was painted with sorrow, "Tell me; is it now, you get to your senses when things had got spoil? Why are you sowing evils on me, instead of good?"

James couldn't know what to say. He threw his knees on the ground and shade his black eyes on her. "Please, am sorry – forgive me in anywhere I went wrong with you. Though my heart had divided into two parts. I promise to fix you at the center of my heart, where you will feel much romantic love from me."

She jerked her head towards the bush and kept quiet for some time. James grabbed his hands on her shoulder. "Please, forgive me in any area I went wrong with you. I still love you, and I will continue to love you more.

Though the enemies will rise in a thousand miles, I will love you until they become ashamed."

She wiggled her head to James, while her shadow – reflected on the ground. Her eyes were filled with water, like a running river. "I heard what you have said. But you have to change your attitude towards me and take me as your wife, and not your enemy. Always put me at the back of your mind and do not abandon me anymore. Because it is now, I needed your love," they feed their lips with kisses and depart to their rooms.

A cat does not urinate in an open place; rather, it kept it secret. Upon how Jessica confronted James Parker about his attitude, he refused to change – he was still behaving like an anti-hero, worsted than before.

Three months later, Jessica could no longer control her anger. She reported James to her dad through a phone call and she tells the conduct of her husband to her dad.

When the phone rang, her dad couldn't pick the call at the moment. It was later on, he call her back.

Jackson Rowe advised her to endure with her husband. He told her that the best thing for a woman to do is to have one husband, instead of sharing her love with many men. That very soon, he would change. As long as she has got into the marriage, there is no going back.

Jessica suspected James Parker of having many ladies as friends, but she was unable to catch him with a lady, except, Katrin Oliver.

Immediately, she saw James, seating on Katrin's lap; telling her, he loves her. She turned mad. Mad and mad a thousand times. "James, have you forgotten that you said, you will love me forever?

Where is the love that you promise me? Is the love gone out of our site? What are you doing with this prostitute by this very time? Is this the customer's job you wanted to deliver? James, am disappointed in you." There were all shocked, surprising to see Jessica at that moment. And tension arose in them. "Oh, this is what you were doing ever since. I have seen why you disregarded me for a while and declare me as a slave." She ignored James and face Katrin Oliver, lying down on the bed. With her layered brown hair.

Immediately Katrin Oliver exchanged words with her, she fainted; and she was rushed to the hospital with the baby for treatment.

Five hours later, she woke up from the hospital bed. And she saw herself with the baby, lying down on the bed. When she looked around, she saw James, standing beside her. "Dear, what brought me here after I was properly released from the hospital?"

"Oh . . ., it was just a mistake; you fell on the ground with the baby and you couldn't speak any longer. . . . Your heartbeat flips out of you as if were dead. That was why, I brought you here for treatment," James smile.

When she arrived home together with James, she met Katrin Oliver the second time, sleeping in the master's room. Immediately Katrin heard her voice, she woke up from the bed and sat down. She looked at Jessica and watched her from head to toe and she mutated on her. "Katrin, the wicked daughter of Oliver, does it mean, you have become a house wife, instead of an apprentice?" She rubbed her hand on her face. "Are you telling me, you are no longer an apprentice?" she squalled.

At that very moment, Jessica couldn't control her temper. She jerked her head towards James, her husband. "Wicked lover, who had no value to his wife; you mean, you have turned our matrimonial home into a hotel room? What do you think you are doing?"

James was beating down his lips; shaking his head like a lizard. He couldn't say anything. she turned to her left and harassed Katrin Oliver. "Katrin, it looks like you are crazy. If you are not crazy, you couldn't have been here at this very moment; kissing my husband, as if you are the one, marrying him."

Katrin kept silent on her for a while. She looks at her, roughly. When she turned her head towards the ward-roof, she saw a blue-colored bag, full of clothes. Some were hanging on the wall; while others were inside the bag. She dragged the bag and removed her clothes, one after another – and scattered it all over the room: "Do you think here is your husband's house? It is either you park from this house, or I parked and leave the house for you – you this wicked harlot. Who claims other people's husband. . . . Enough is enough for you," Jessica yelped.

Katrin looks at her and nodded her head, and laugh. "Ha, ha, ha, I laughed at you, because you are an empty vessel. Tell me, who gave you such power to scatter my clothes all over the room? Do you think James Parker would marry you? You are wasting your very good time in this house, thinking you have got married.

Have you ever looked at yourself in a mirror, since you were born?

If you haven't done that yet; better do it now, you would discover, yourself as the most, ugliest lady in town." She walked down on her. "It is better for you to look for your husband before it is too late. Because a black goat can't be seen in the nighttime; rather, you looked for it in the daylight. The very James, you are talking about, is my fiancé, and my lover." She jumped up and down, "You, ugly daughter of Jackson, James is not for you. He is my fiancé and my lover.

. . . You this deathly, ugly witch – get out of my front, now," she spat on her face and walk away.
