It was morning, Adria hasn't been able to sleep properly she stood up as she felt a sharp pain in her head she went to the bathroom and freshened up, Haru brought some food for her and she also sent him to get some pain killers for headache.
These day Adria doesn't even understand what she's doing, she feels tired of everything she just wish she could be with her mom and Berlina, she doesn't know why she got entangled with all this drama.
She ate slowly as she thought of how unhappy she felt in this country, this land and this continent. She just wished she could run away from all this, she was really tired.
She gulped down her milk and took the medicine after resting for a while she left the place and drove home.
Today was weekend so she didn't have to go to work, she arrived at her house and saw Asachi's car outside she sighed, taking her purse she headed towards her house.
She walked into the living room where she saw Asachi, their eyes met each other's and she smiled gently as she wasn't in the mood to create tantrums.
Asachi saw her smile and felt relieved, probably he was worried over nothing he had freshened up in Adria's absence, so he just sat down waiting for her.
"Good morning Adria." He said calmly.
"Mhm." she replied.
"Eh-." immediately his stomach grumbled Adria smiled at the shocked look on his face "Let's go eat Asachi." She said casually as she dropped her jacket and purse.
They headed to the dining as food was served, Adria had eaten earlier so she just picked some while Asachi ate really fast as he hadn't eaten anything since last night.
When they were done they went to the sitting room and was met with a news from tv; A wealth bachelor had returned and his arrival will be celebrated in a grand manner as he is the heir of the jook family and these family are known for their great wealth and contribution in the society. The celebration of his arrival had been fixed and it will be on the Friday of this coming week, it will be an evening party there will be alot of display as famous celebrities around the world will be coming over and important elites, his party will definitely be remembered for decades and also he is in a wild search of a woman, so it's also a chance to get taken by the eligible bachelor so come prepared as I will too.
Adria reduced the volume of the television as she was less concerned but Asachi had flash of regrets as he stared at the television.
"Adria." he called out to her as he switched his attention to her.
Adria turned to him as she smiled softly "Yes."
"I know Min told you something." He said as he stared at her.
"Yh he did." She replied casually as she tapped her finger on the couch.
"So why aren't you mad at me, why aren't you venting your disappointment on me." He said worriedly.
"Asachi I'm tired, I'm so tired, I want to leave I wanna go back to Africa but if I do I'll have to deal with a lot of problems, you know why cause I was involved with a very bad figure in Africa, my sister helped me escape from his clutches and she sent him to jail, he killed the man I cared for and he had caused a lot of trouble for me." she breathed in and stared at Asachi who was very attentive.
"He destroyed my company, my name and a lot of things, I was sent to jail for a death I knew nothing about somehow my sister got me out of it.....I keep getting entangled with trouble and it gets really tiring and frustrating as at last week we got to a night club and you and Sofia got waisted I got a call from Yan Chen that Akio was home alone so I had to rush home, on my way I accidentally witnessed a murder in that club and they got to find out someone was there she paused as she tired to level her breathing.
"I would have lost my life, I wouldn't be here if I was caught that day, I have a lot to take care of I got involved with this Min guy because of Akio's safety, I don't even know what I'm doing anymore, I feel empty, I feel like my life revolves around pain and suffering. I did have a great life growing up and I wasn't like other kids, I had a broken home at times when I got back from school what I get to see is blood all over, on the wall, on the kitchen counter every fucking where till now when I sleep I still get nightmares and reminders of how fucked up my life is at times I actually take drugs to be able to sleep even if it's for a little while. When I got a little happiness it got snatched away, right now I actually wish I never had anything to do with Ryan maybe he would have still been alive, he brought joy to me but now the pain he left, the pain I feel when I think about him is ten times greater than the joy he brought me. Now you know what I haven't said all this while. Everyone has something horrible to tell, sometimes we make mistakes that cost us a lot and by a lot I mean a lot, I understand. You could tell me yours when you feel you want to or when you trust me enough to, I won't force you to and I won't judge you by what others say." Adria said as she tapped his shoulder, she stood up and went up to her room on her way she found Yan Chen on the staircase, seemed she had heard everything because her eyes where swollen and as soon as she saw Adria she pulled her in for a hug Adria tried her best not to cry, she wasn't going to cry she has to be strong and fight her problems head on.
Asachi sat there as he stared at the place Adria was earlier, he always thought Adria was a lady who had gotten all she wants since she had her sister who seemed to be an influential person, he never thought she was this broken even when she spoke about her ex boyfriend who died she didn't seem so much in pain and never gave much information. She really knows how to hide her pain he thought to himself as he took a deep breath and closed his eyes, he wasn't ready to tell his own story as it was full of shady things. He left her house.
