As everyone got that notification that the mutated human was dead, they all let out a sigh of relief. Helping Ba'al up, John made his way into the gymnasium. When they got in and closed the door, they saw that the 2 ladies were standing there holding 2 orbs. One was a solid red color and the other was a very light red color. The silver haired lady tossed the light red one to Ba'al and said, "Since you are the only one who really got hurt, then I think you deserve the best prize. Besides I got this." She then held up a scroll. "If you haven't seen them yet, they contain skills."
"Thank you, uh..." Ba'al waited.
"Her name is Samantha, and I'm Abby." The black haired woman chimed in.
"Ah, Thank you, Abby, Samantha. I'm Ba'al, and this is John." Ba'al nodded his head in respect to each of them.
"No Problem Ba'al. Nice to meet the both of you." Abby said with a smile.
"Likewise." Samantha nodded.
Finding a place to sit, Ba'al bandaged the cut he had gotten, although it had already started scabbing, and then he started checking his ribs. "Damn, I think one or two might be bruised."
Sitting down next to Ba'al, John asked, "How were you able to make it over to Abby so fast, was that part of your skill?"
Nodding, Ba'al answered, "It was Physique Enhancement, basically using my Mana to strengthen my body. You want to focus on your Mana and rotate it. The faster the rotation, the higher the enhancement, but also the higher the Mana cost and strain on your body. You should find a center and expand from there each time so that you stay consistent. I'm going to experiment with what else I can do, so you practice that."
Hearing someone approach, Ba'al turned to see both Abby and Samantha walking over to him and John. "Seeing as we are the only fighters in this group, I thought we should share some of what we know with each other. That way, we all have a better chance of surviving." Abby smiled as she sat down near Ba'al. "What did you guys ask Akasha about? I asked to know about the Health stat."
"I haven't asked anything yet. I was going to wait until I was somewhere relatively safe then ask." Ba'al replied, while John said he asked about Strength. Samantha chimed in and mentioned that she had asked about Magic, so Ba'al decided to ask Akasha about Agility.
'Agility- Agility is the measure of an entities speed, reflexes and dexterity. The higher Agility rises, the faster a being can move, the quicker and more easily they react to stimuli, and the easier a time they have with fine craftsmanship.'
Ba'al read the message to them exactly as Akasha told him, and they did likewise
'Health- Health deals with recovery for the most part. The higher your Health, the faster you regenerate from wounds, recover Stamina and Mana, and how well you deal with poison and illness. Things such as resting or overwork can either hamper or increase the effectiveness of this Stat.'
'Strength- Strength is the determining factor for the bodies durability. The higher your Strength, the more resistant to damage and sturdy a being is. This also allows for the being to force more power into their muscles.'
'Magic- Magic is the measure of how deft a being is in manipulating Mana. The higher the Magic stat, the more easily magic is cast. This Stat is also responsible for helping a being learn different magic types.'
"Now that we have pooled this knowledge, I believe I should tell you all about this chant I learned through my skill." Samantha recited a chant for them. "From what I know, this chant will allow you to develop something called Mana veins, that are supposed to allow you to have an easier time using magic."
"I think it would be best for the non-fighters to use this chant. My skill gives me a large knowledge of the manipulation of Mana and for us, who have already began using Mana and have Awakened, we should develop a Mana Core first." Ba'al cut in after learning the chant. "You'll want to gather all your Mana into a single point of your body until you feel it solidify. The Mana Core is ethereal, so it won't physically be there, but it will store Mana and allow your body to be less stressed by the extra energy. To make it stronger, you want to repeat the process until it reaches a certain size. It should go from about the size of a pinhead, to around the size of a baseball. After that, come to me and I'll let you know what to do next. The Mana Core should be at the center of the Mana veins you develop afterward, that way they feed and enhance each other naturally over time."
Nodding her head, Samantha went to each group of people, roughly five or six each, and offered to teach them. John went around and made sure everyone had at least something to snack on for later. Ba'al closed his eyes and started to try forming his Mana Core. After a few minutes, he opened his eyes, "Yes?"
"Sorry for bothering you, I just wanted to ask you a few things." Abby smiled as she brushed back her hair. "You said you had a bit of basic knowledge on magic, right? Well, my skill was a bit special, you see it made it so that I'm not human anymore, I'm a High Elf. With this came several different pieces of information, and other things. What I'm curious about is that I learned the basic rune words for wood magic, nature magic, and wind magic, but I didn't learn any others. Since there is wind, I would also assume that there are fire, water and earth magic as well. I was wondering if you knew the rune words for them."
Looking again at Abby's pointed ears, Ba'al replied, "The rune for fire is Edan, water is Nimue, earth is Lutu, and what I have for wind, or air is Halos. Beyond that I don't even want to try and find out anything else at the moment."
"Thanks, for the record if you don't know them, wood is Grov, and nature is Econ." Abby smiled and went to help Samantha.
Closing his eyes again, Ba'al went back to forming his Mana Core. Abby, joining Samantha helped a few people learn the chant and one or two of the rune words. John cleared out all of the conjoining rooms in the building, finding a few straggling zombies. Finally, they were getting somewhere.
