Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Whiterun

He didn't even ask Silvia where this Whiterun place was, or how far it was from their current location. He felt like slapping his face for his stupidity.

Alex looked at the guard for second and wanted to ask something but he stopped himself. He wanted to ask the guard where this Whiterun is but realised since Silvia was with him she would most likely know the way. He wanted to turn around and ask her but he realised he didn't have to.

If just followed her and paid attention he could figure out the direction himself. Although he couldn't figure out why he would come back here, he still chose to memorize the route; in case he had to travel by himself in the future.

When he had finished thinking, he looked at the guard again. The guard had a questioning look on his face. As if he was asking for reassurance from him. When Alex saw this, he simply nodded at him.

That was the only response he could think of, although that wasn't much of a response. The guard seemed to respond to him. He simply nodded at both of them and told them they could go.

The guard moved out of the way and let them pass. As they walked pass him, the guard told them good luck. That response caused a chill to run down Alex's spine. He was filled with anxiety and fear.

For his knowledge and experience the only reason for someone to say that was that they were about to experience danger. He looked over at Silvia for some kind of response.

She simply looked over at Alex and said in a calm voice, there are group of gnolls nearby. As long as we make it there before nightfall we should be fine. Although I would be fine even if I was surrounded by a group of gnolls I would still be fine; but as for you on the other hand that's a different story.

Although I can protect you from one or two enemies. Any more than that I am unable to do. I am not a warrior so I am unable to fight like one. I am more proficient in stealth attacks.

We should hurry up before it get's dark. She said that and hurried forward. It took hours of walking and few minutes of resting before they reached their destination.

The City of Whiterun, when they arrived close enough they could see the city's walls. They were white, marble white. They seemed to block out the light.
