Chapter seven
Anything
{The forest.}
Chi An appeared in a distant location in the same forest. He climbed a tree and relaxed himself like an ancient emperor.
The moon penetrated the dotted space of the tree leaves like a fine mesh sieve, revealing Chi An's blank face.
Revealing his icy eyes that looked like an arctic tundra, which could send a shiver down the spine of anyone, Chi An thought, ' wolf community.' Clenching his fist, Chi An continued, 'I see that the wolves and the hunters have tied these humans into a string network of control.'
Chi An didn't care how the wolves and hunters handled their problems. He was only interested in the twenty-four seats of war of the wolf. Chi An has a blood feud with them for their part in his parent's death.
Although Chi An's eyes appeared steeled and unforgiving as a diamond, showing no mercy or empathy, he sighed, thinking about his unusual connection with Jun Mey. He slid his right hand into his pocket and brought a white phone as flat as a sharp blade. Chi An texted with the phone.
After a while, someone walked toward the location of Chi An in the forest: Tai Keixin.
Frowning, Tai Keixin thought, 'what makes this guy call me out now?'
Tai Keixin couldn't believe the surprising thing that officer Ma had told her. He had informed her through a text message that he had apprehended Jun Mey and Nuan Mei. However, Tai Keixin decided to come because of the importance of Jun Mey despite her fears.
Tai Keixin wore a hood, her eyes glowing emerald, looking like a ghost in a hood. However, when she noticed those sanguine eyes that could freeze a lake, leaving no room for warmth, the emotionless eyes jolted her awake.
Tai Keixin trembled, moved forward, then backward, confused. She snarled, clenching her fist. She thought, 'how the hell did this guy discover me,' her body disobeyed her by shaking.
She noticed it was somebody other than the security man who had called out her. Not to mention that the prisoner he spoke, she couldn't see anyone.
Tai Keixin became gloomy and extremely livid at officer Ma for setting her up. However, all her reactions happened in a mere second, with a single blow of a breeze. Furthermore, Chi An remained still, like a mountain.
Seeing this situation, Tai Keixin turned to the shadow whose sanguine eyes showed like a moon uncovered by the cloud. She prostrated and said, "my lord, this servant is foolish for coming here,"
Chi An crossed his arms and stood. He blankly staring a Tai Keixin but hidden from her view. Chi An pondered why Tai Keixin had transformed from a brave lion to a timid antelope instantly.
Not minding Chi An's thoughts and silence, Tai Keixin began to knock her head on the ground. She thought, 'I must survive. Pretending is my second name.' Tai Keixin thought she could even live with an ignorant jealous brute like Xia Wuya, so she could pretend to be anything. Although Tai Keixin had not tested the power of Chi An, she knew that the person she was looking at sat at the apex of the food chain in the wolf community.
"My lord...," Chi An interrupted Tai Keixin by jumping down.
Chi An, who maintained his blank face, asked, "What makes you think of yourself as foolish?"
Tai Keixin trembled even more and felt uneasy in her heart when she heard the statement. She thought, 'no! This acting is not enough.' Conceiving that thought, Tai Keixin began to roll on the ground like a school of fish in the water: she was everywhere.
However, her acting made Chi An growl with rage, his two fists clenched. He marched forward with heavy feet, puffing out his chest. Every stride threatened to break the soil.
