Yan Rumei took about 12 minutes to finish all the sheets on the stand. That's equivalent to a whole year's worth of bank statements of a client. She pinned the papers together and put them on top of the stack she was sorting earlier.
She returned to her computer and printed something and put it on top of the stack.
She went to her email and went to settings to set Automatic Replies. She used a template she created beforehand.
Then, she went back to her email homepage and clicked Drafts. She changed the date and pressed Send. There was a small pop-up showing the progress, when she saw it change from 1% to 2%, she smiled satisfiedly.
Then, she stood up and fixed her hair and clothes.
Assistant Li Cheng finally realised that she had finished her paperwork. He was about to stand up when he heard the Miss say, "Stay there, I'll have to go to my boss' office to give these. We'll leave when I come back."
As soon as she said that she carried the stack of papers and strode out in her high heels. Only at this moment that Assistant Li Cheng noticed that even with about 2 inches of heels, the Miss is still... short. She's probably only about 5 feet 3 inches.
[Ahhhhh! What the hell are you thinking Li Cheng?! Are you tired of your job and ready to retire?] Assistant Li Cheng slapped himself internally.
Yan Rumei walked out. She noticed that everyone in the open office was looking at her the moment she appeared. But she didn't care and just continued to walk, her eyes fixed in front.
She walked up a set of stairs and arrived at the main floor. This floor looked really different from their office in the basement.
All the employees sat on a nice office chair. They all have three ultra-wide flat screen LG monitors and flat keyboards as well. They have their own little cork board in their cubicles and even some plants and decorations on their table.
The other four Account Managers like her all have their own glass offices 3 times the size of her office in the four corners of this floor. They have nice blinds on their windows, their own Keurig coffee maker, nice Ikea drawers, and they each even have a mounted TV.
It is really contrasting compared to their work area in the basement.
His boss "gave" her the entire basement as her team office area. Even though it is as big as this floor, half of the area is a storage for paper files for all the company's clients.
Also, all the employees on her team deal with all the clients who couldn't adapt to technology, so all their information is on paper. Each employee has at least 2 huge filing cabinets for the active clients and accounts.
Also, these clients are the ones that the employees and managers on this main floor simply refused to take, so they dumped them all to her team. That is why the desks and offices up here are all clean, because they all deal with clients with electronic information.
Sigh... Even the carpet here smells really nice.
As Yan Rumei walks to the back where his boss' office is located, she can also feel everyone's gazes on her.
"Oh! The principal is taking a stroll, behave yourselves.", an employee whispered to the other employees stationed beside her.
The others who heard her smiled and they all started giggling in a quiet manner.
Yan Rumei is used to this treatment. She was pissed at first, but she became numb after a few months, and already stopped caring after a few years.
When she arrived outside her boss office, the secretary stood up, "President Si is currently busy w---. H-hey Yan Rumei!"
Yan Rumei ignored the yapping secretary, opened his boss' door and went in without closing it.
President Si scrunched up his eyebrows as soon as he saw Yan Rumei come in, "Yan Rumei!"
Yan Rumei ignored him too.
She placed the stack of papers she was holding on his boss' office table. "I'm managing a total of 4,068 clients for my team, and I have 1,312 direct clients myself. But I still finished the 2020 bank statements of this client you just gave me an hour ago."
Yan Rumei then took out one piece of paper from the top and placed it in front of his boss for about 3 seconds then flung it in his face. "I quit, you lazy dumb mother**cker!"
President Si's jaw dropped.
The client who was in a meeting with President Si's jaw also dropped.
The secretary at the door's jaw also dropped.
Yan Rumei, satisfied with their expression, smirked, and strode out.
She walked with grace across the office floor. Since she left the door of President Si open earlier, probably 80% of the people on this floor also heard what she just said.
She walked down the stairs to the basement. After getting there, she stood in an open area where all the people in her team could see her.
She then announced in a happy manner, "Hi everyone, I just quit. I suggest you also do the same. You all deserve to be in a better place than this shitty company!"
Yan Rumei then headed to her office.
Assistant Li Cheng heard what his Miss said. He was stunned one more time, but he smiled in the end.
[This is definitely a good decision made by the Miss. She's a stepdaughter of a business mogul now. She can just work at one of Master Gu's businesses. Hell! She doesn't even need to work at all if she wants!]
Assistant Li Cheng also pitied the employees in this basement office. He also clearly saw the mistreatment they were given.
Yan Rumei kept her personal belongings in her bag. She also logged out of all the softwares she is using. She also cleared the computer of her history, notes and her personally made training materials and guides.
Then she tabbed back to her email and to check the email she sent earlier and there is no longer a progress bar. It means, it was successfully sent.

She is receiving multiple email replies.
When she looked over at the small preview, most of what she could see were questions from her clients.
She sighed and logged off her email as well. She didn't need to look at them and reply. She already set up an automatic reply earlier because she already predicted that this would happen.
She felt a little bad for her clients, as no one in this company would want to take over their accounts now that she quit.
Her clients love her work. She was meticulous and rarely made mistakes. One can count in one's hands how many times she was forced to do a rework on a Tax Report she submitted.
Although she is busy managing and working with thousands of accounts, she is very patient with her clients. This is very important because probably 60-70% of her clients are old people, and some clients also have very limited knowledge in business and taxes.
But it has to end now.
While Yan Rumei was busy, Assistant Li Cheng strode outside the office and started to hand his business card to all the employees.
"If you decide to quit your current job, send me an email and I will be glad to find you a suitable place to work for."
As soon as he finished handing his card, Yan Rumei also finished. She got out of her office and said to Assistant Li Cheng, "Let's go."
