The year after that, I was assigned at inner shrine where our goddess frequently descent as her personal hime miko (princess shrine maiden). They envy my position but they cannot complain. For I was chosen by the goddess herself.
"Why did you chose me Amaterasu-sama?"(Hikari)
Impertinent as it may be, I asked her that. She smiled softly towards me.
"Because you have a heart of a shut-in. Not I meant the real shut-in. Your heart is hiding. Or should I say it never blooms yet. That's why I chose you."(Amaterasu)
Is that really it?
"Also, I believe you will obtained a more grand destiny. And, I will lead you to that destiny."(Amaterasu)

I stiffened on her command after I become 17. I have to visit Tokyo and head to a certain address. There, I will meet the man of my destiny.

Please let it be her usual jokes. Though unfortunately, it is not.

It has ability to see the color of person's soul and how bright or shape it is. It is the inferior version, by small difference, of [Heart's Eye] or [Soul's Eye] Unique Skill. He have white unblinding endless light at the center and prismatic light at the tip ends. His soul have no form like I am looking at the sun. Yet that light never blinds me nor suck me in. It has ability to let you aim to reach for it. Its color shows that he is willing to accept anything and has accepted every part of him. There is no murky color. It is blending together in harmony.

All devil kings I met before have murky soul. It is so bright. As if it is a great fire promising certain destruction. That should be the normal. It is them that is abnormal.

She reveals a wry smile. Though later on, we will understand all of it.

"That is not true. No one starts as real at first. So you have to believe. Believe it into the bitter end. Those small steps will take you to the immeasurable time and distance. Like how he keeps moving slowly forward. Knowing that there is only despair that will serve as is obstacles. Only believing that future is filled with hope. Now, he is the first ever devil king blessed by Pandora, not as witch goddess, as hope goddess."(Shira)
