His acting was perfect.
"We cannot let you go, you are a suspicious person." The giant woman said coldly, "Come with us."
"I will have to decline." Shou Xin turned his ear towards the womans voice and took a step back from her, his Sanguine Sword Steps firing as he shot off retracing his steps he came from accurately, yet he didn't make it far.
As though the entire world had changed color, in the midst of his movement, his soul screamed and he began to fall.
"Instincts and capability are good," The giant woman caught him, "Who are you?"
Shou Xin took himself out from her arm.
He did not turn his ear towards her this time, but locked his empty eyes with hers… almost.
He spoke coldly.
"I am the Sea Spring Swordsman, Shou Xin. Now that you know, leave me alone. The authorities will soon come to take me back. It won't end well if they see me with you."
The many women who were bathing had by now, put on their clothing and gathered their weapons, the time between him being called blind till now was only perhaps thirty seconds.
They had surrounded him.
"Oh?" The giant woman smiled, making her look fierce though she was still beautiful in a dangerous sort of way, "Tai Li, come forward, is this the man you saw in the arena?"
A beautiful girl with sword wounds on her cheek stepped forward, Shou Xin naturally recognized her.
"You are the girl who fought me in the arena, I cut your cheek slightly and you surrendered, I remember you." That was naturally a lie, he only recognized her, "What happened to Elder Yu?"
"You dare speak of the Elder when you aren't even that man!" Tai Li shouted coldly as she laid a hand on her hilt, "He was an average man with black eyes and strange hair! You two are nothing alike!"
Shou Xin shrugged with a smile.
"There is a way to confirm it." He raised the Sea Spring Sword shakily.
Tai Li was infuriated instantly.
"Fine!"
The giant women raised a brow, a smile creeping onto her face.
"Wait-!"
"Lady, let them be."
"But!"
"It will be fine."
Shou Xin turned his head to the giant woman, a thick smile reaching from ear to ear.
"I may be blind now which let's me know, but how do you?"
The giant woman snorted.
"Focus or you may really die."
The instant he had turned his head, Tai Li charged.
However, she was not heartless and did not attack him at full strength immediately.
Shou Xin's movement less figure made her falter slightly.
However, the instant she arrived in range of him, her face paled and her pupils shrank.
A terrifying sensation had risen causing her blood to run cold.
His pure killing intent was all Shou Xin could manage to control without his soul going berserk and trying to suicide.
Gathering it on the Sea Spring Sword, it rang out like a blazing beast seeking blood! Countless wails arose as though seeking to make her join them within the metals reflection.
"Without a sheath, I cannot control myself," Shou Xin grinned, "Shall I make another mark for you, darling?"
Tai Li's own killing intent rose as her mercy vanished.
"Die."
She arrived before him swiftly striking from the ground upwards.
Yet.
Shou Xin ever so slightly moved the Sea Spring Sword into the path of her reckless attack.
Tai Li, who had already kicked off the ground, couldn't dodge anymore.
The point of the Sea Spring Sword arrived just before her eye when a hand flicked the Sea Spring Sword out of the way and directly plucked Tai Li from the air.
Shou Xin quietly turned his head to look at the earth with a wry smile.
"Seeing as I've not felt the sensation of flesh against metal. I am alive and so is she, what happened? Got cold feet, or perhaps…" He looked over to where the giant woman had been standing prior, "...were you saved?"
"Ah, this silence, I've hit the nail on the head." Shou Xin shrugged his one shoulder which looked incredibly strange, "Then, I've proved who I am and that I'll be wholly useless to you all. There is no benefit in saving me, nor capturing me."
Tai Li stared at him fiercely, her entire body shaking in rage.
Shou Xin's smile deepened as he slowly put down the Sea Spring Sword and began his march away from them.
In truth, his act was perfect, but that was for two reasons.
He had been forced to study how to gain pity from others by his family in order to survive most situations and take advantage of people, this included faking ailments of all sorts.
The other reason was because he was truly suffering in incredible pain.
As he was about to escape, he froze in place.
"So that's how it works!" A strange young girl's voice echoed, the sudden killing intent vanishing just as fast.
"You!" Tai Li yelled.
It was then that Shou Xin's mind caught up with his body.
The instant the smallest amount of killing intent had been sent out, he had swung his Sea Spring Sword and almost cut apart their young lady, his blade stopping an inch from her face as the killing intent had vanished too fast, stopping his strike in the middle.
He would not kill those who did not bear killing intent towards himself.
"You're not a bad person, Mister." The young lady said.
Shou Xin took back the Sea Spring Sword whilst frowning, "Haven't you heard of my crimes? They're all true. Now, shoo."
Immediately, killing intent came in from all direction, Shou Xin grinned.
A manic laugh creeped out from the depths of his being, mixed with a brutal killing intent which told volumes.
"Do you all want to duel? Or…" Shou Xin slowly raised the Sea Spring Sword, "...will we make this quick?"
"Stop!" The young lady shouted, "Stop right now!"
The giant women gave them all cold looks and they instantly stopped, but Shou Xin did not lower his sword.
The young lady tugged on his sleeve and he turned his head down at her, though his gaze seemed to be looking through her and past everything, she didn't look away.
"Please stop, Mister."
His eyes narrowed, making everyone recoil slightly until they realized he had only become blind recently.
Looking past her cute puppy dog eyes, Shou Xin frowned but under it's weight, he eventually lowered his sword with a heavy sigh.
"Shoo. It's not good for children to experience this side of adults." Shou Xin flicked her forehead and immediately sensed killing intents scoffing, "Bunch of bloody dogs, quite itching at me."
The young lady rubbed her forehead and said, "Mister is kind!"
"I am not." Shou Xin flicked her again, and once more for good measure, "Mister is a very bad man. Now shoo. Quickly, I've spent too much time here, you should all know that."
Turning around, Shou Xin made his way away under the thick stares of the people around him, yet they blocked his way, their barely concealed killing intent giving them away.
He felt a strong pull on his arm which almost knocked him over.
"Stay!" The young lady had grabbed him and pulled, almost knocking him over in the process, revealing the fact that he was actually very weak right now.
If even one of the three, Body, Soul and Sword are out of place, then everything becomes significantly weakened through Shou Xin's case is special since his body has a greater weight in the balance than a normal cultivator due to the fact that he practices body arts making his backlash from the imbalance far more brutal.
Due to the blockage between Body and Sword, he could not exert his strength over his sword properly nor could he control his Sanguine Sword Qi well either.
(From now on, since it makes more sense, it will be Body, Soul and Law. Because that's what I've meant by Sword in recent times, I will go back and clean up earlier pages eventually.)
The moment she realized that she had more strength than Shou Xin, the young lady's grip tightened, "Your coming with me!"
"Do you think I won't kill you?" Shou Xin's Sea Spring Sword arrived at her throat swiftly and everyone, including the giant women reacted but they didn't move, the young girl had raised her other hand stopping them.
"Mister won't." She took a step forward into the blades edge, "Mister is good."
Shou Xin's pupils dilated slightly and he pulled the Sea Spring Sword back, shouting as he did so, "What are you doing?!"
A vein appeared on his forehead as he raised her by her collar with his good hand, his Sea Spring Sword stabbed into the earth beside him.
"You. What if I had been a terrible person? You damned fool!" He yelled ruthlessly scolding her, "Value your damned life some more, you stupid brat! Damn it, I almost killed a child. You crazy…"
He noticed she was struggling to get out of his grip and he put her down immediately.
His attitude changing slightly as he did so.
"Don't do that again." Shou Xin flicked her forehead mercilessly, "Never again, you understand?"
