The girl was still trembling. She remembered how Rick told her he killed Drake. This can't be the same, Drake. That was always a pushover. Drake, she knew, was mentally weak and easy for others to abuse. The reason Rick and Joe tried to force themselves on her was that she always defended Drake. Even tho, she was often harsh on him, but that was for his own sake, she wanted Drake to become stronger, if not with powers, than at least mentally. But what she sees now was the complete opposite of Drake she knew. This person felt no remorse while killing, in fact, he was enjoying it.
"Why… Did you kill them" she asked. She wanted to believe that this was the same Drake she knew and loved. " You could have just beaten them and called the police."
"But… That would be not efficient, now would it?" Drake had an innocent smile on him. He sincerely thought that murdering these clowns was the best solution because they had a strong background.
"Jasmine, are you hurt anywhere?" Drake became worried. "Let me check your wounds."
She had a few minor bruises and cuts. But that was all. Drake used some healing magic, and she was perfectly fine once again.
"Anyway, I must thank you," Drake bowed to her politely, and used spatial magic to take out a beautiful blue mana gem. He found out that he can use all the items he gained when he was a demon. This gem contained a large amount of water energy, so if water magicians would absorb the energy from it, even high-ranked magicians would level up. "For always being by my side, even when I was powerless."
Jasmine began crying once again. He's him, He's still Drake. These were the tears of happiness. She felt so relieved that her body went numb and she collapsed.
"Oh my, what a poor girl!" Drake watched her with a smile on his face. He used a spatial spell to send her home, to her room. He knew that place because he had visited her home before. They used to study there together. "Now then, should I go to school tomorrow? It might be entertaining, playing a human! "
* Same time in Royal castle *
Thomas filled his room with tons of alcoholic beverages. He took a shower, got dressed up, and went on a date with Olivia. He took one bottle of expensive wine for Olivia's father. Teleported straight to their door. "Hello, uncle and aunty Millers" Thomas bowed and took out an expensive wine as a gift.
"Wow, you shouldn't have Thomas," Maria Miller told him. She was already happy with Olivia dating such a polite young man. "I prepared a dinner, go to the guest room and I will call for Olivia" she smiled.
"How's it going? I heard from Olivia that you live in a royal castle now." Johnson was curious. He was worried, that the king might force Thomas to marry his daughter.
"It's really fun. They treat us like we're both royalty. Both me and my sister." Thomas smiled.
"That's great! I mean, it's probably much better than living with your parents? Right? I know how much you hate them," Johnson replied with a sad face.
"Well, who wouldn't? The way they treated me for five years was horrible." Thomas said with a sad face. "I still get nightmares sometimes… Of how my brother breaks my limbs…"
Johnson felt pity for Thomas, but he knew this was a common occurrence. In this magic-based world, if one was born without magic, he was treated worse than a dog. "So, what are your plans for the future? Is my daughter within those plans?" Johnson said this with a serious tone. However, he couldn't help but chuckle after seeing how Thomas got embarrassed and tried hiding his blushing by hiding his face.
"Yes, sir…" Thomas couldn't help but blush. Thomas believed that meeting Olivia was destiny. It was a gift granted by the heavens for all the pain he had to endure.
Joseph was thrilled. When he and Olivia were speaking about Thomas, she accidentally told him she was thinking about their future. He couldn't help but feel happy about how grown up his daughter was.
When Olivia came down from her room, she sat near her dad. But he told her to go sit near Thomas. Once again, Thomas saw his future father-in-law as a god. They sat near each other and blushed. Thomas and Olivia's parents took the time to get to know each other. After an hour, Thomas and Olivia went to the capital city for a walk. He wanted to show her the royal capital and the castle he lives in.
