Walking through the rain on a cold night, a group of two females and a male who was dressed in tuxedos arrived at a tall building.
"You ready?" The young female teen asked.
"Yeah, let's go in!" The teen boy said.
Walking through the entrance, they arrived at a long hall which then took them to the elevator. From there, they moved to the last floor.
They were greeted by guards who asked for their IDs before entry.
"Here you go. As it says on the card, I'm 18." The boy said as he tried to dry off the water from his hair.
Inspecting the card, the guard nodded his head and took the cards of the ladies. One of them passed but he had to glance between the ID and the young girl. Her red hair and face matched the image, however, she did not look above the age requirement. Therefore, requiring him to do a race check.
Some races like vampires and some other creatures could maintain a young appearance while living for longer periods.
"What's taking so long, that's my face isn't it?" She questioned.
"You are named after a cursed weapon?" he asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Yep!"
"Well, I suspect this of being fake. We have to verify your race."
Altogether the group of three gasped!
"Did you take one look at my poor friend and judge her? Can you believe this Coby?" the female grieved.
"Indeed it is truly a tragedy! How could they judge poor Yasura like that." the black-haired man send shedding a tear.
'What?' the guard was astonished.
" I have a disease which stutters my growth. In fact... I'm older than both of them. However, even those who wrote my ID refused to believe." Yasura, the young female wept.
He took in a deep breath, he opened the door allowing them inside. He was not paid enough to deal with advanced Karens.
"That was easier than expected! I thought I was going to have to mention the part about me falling in a ditch at the age of five. Even better when I dropped a 64-inch television on my sister's head at the age of 10." Yasura whispered into Coby's ear.
"Yeah, that's enough lying for today." He said gently pushing her away.
"Lies? I am offended! Well, I mean some of it was but not everything!" she complained with passion. The other two simply ignored her.
Walking into the room, it was filled with disco lights and a DJ adding different beats to the song playing. It was a club, nearly filled to the brim with people.
"GET SOMETHING TO DRINK, I'LL BE BACK!" Coby shouted due to the loud music being played.
"HUH?"
"I SAID GET SOMETHING TO DRINK! I'LL BE BACK!" Coby shouted once more.
"Huh?" The two girls repeated.
He kissed his teeth and walked away from them to the bar area. The loud music was quite annoying so much so that he could barely hear his thought process. He sat near a bald man who was drinking.
"Bartender, give me a Paladin shot!"
"Coming up!" The bartender responded, quickly whipping out a cup and pouring him a drink.
"That's some strong alcohol. Can you handle it?" The bald man asked. His voice was barely higher than the music being played.
"Getting money in this day and era is not easy. Things like alcohol are the only things that dull the pain!" Coby said releasing a sigh.
"I feel you, man. I was in a rough job recently. You know what? Bartender put his drinks on my tab!" he called out.
"The name is Orcher." The bald man said stretching his hand out for a handshake.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Coby. So, what work are you into?" He said as he received his cup of alcohol from the bartender.
"You can say animal catching of some sort," Orcher said taking a drink of his beverage and finishing it in one shot.
"Would those animals be magic beasts? Maybe even smuggled them to dimension XIV as well?" Coby asked casually while sipping his beverage.
Orcher did not answer but instead pushed his cup to the side. Giving Coby a cold stare, he grabbed his collar.
"Are you a spy?" He furiously asked.
Giving a wide grin, the black-haired teen squeezed on the baldies hand. Due to the loud music, his shrieks went unnoticed.
"I'm asking the questions here," Coby said, shoving the baldie back into his seat.
However, Orcher's accusations did not go unnoticed by the bartender. Making a clicking sound, he pulled out a magical weapon. It was in the form of a pump gun.
Upon seeing this, the teen quickly grabbed his chair and held it up as a shield. Incorporating magic into the weapon, the gun made a 'boom' sound at a volume higher than the music resounding in the room.
'ugh!' Coby mentally grunted. The chair did its job of protecting him at the dispense of its durability. He was blown back into the crowd in the dance area by the impact.
"What's going on?" The DJ stopped the music, to verify the cause of the commotion.
"Look, Amy. He's causing a commotion again." Yasura said sipping her juice.
Letting out a weak laugh, Orcher watched as men and guards came storming into the dance area.
'Almost everyone here works for him?' Coby said watching as men came one by one surrounding the area. ' Works for me then!'
Seeing hostile men approach, many guests ran out to seek safety. It was very clear, something dangerous was going to break out and they did not want to get involved.
"It does not matter how many guys you bring. Tell me what I wanna know." Coby advised.
"Shut up! I'm the one having the advantage! Now tell me who leaked our information!" Orcher raged, slamming his fist on the table leading to its breakage.
"Why don't you find out then?" Coby calmly said, straightening his black curly hair and untucking his tuxedo.
With a smile, he ran toward Orcher but was blocked off by the men he planned to fight.
"Are you dumb? You think this is all some comedy show?" A man shouted, pulling out a pistol.
He fired a single bullet at Coby planning to end this charade immediately. While in the motion of running, he kicked the bullet away with his foot and implanted the other into the man's face.
Quickly grabbing the gun, he used the man's body as a shield from other bullets and fired. He targeted those who were armed with ranged weapons first.
"Got him!" A large bulky man held him from behind with a solid material around his arms, it was earth magic. The teen was caught by surprise yet his smile did not drop once.
Ceasing the chance, the others ran to attack the restrained teen.
"You....are gonna have to do better than that!" Flames began to ignite around Coby, burning the man holding him in the process.
Once his durability reached its limit, his grip loosened and Coby shot a fireball at him. Looking at the rest, he kicked off the ground, using his flames to increase his speed as he did so.
"I'll stop him!" A guard said, using lightning magic to dash to him. He stretched out his hand, hoping to grapple Coby.
However, the fire user kicked his arm away and laid an uppercut sending the man's body into the air. Using a burst of flames to jump, he provided an axe kick to the lightning user's skull sending him crashing back down.
One by one more man joined in. Using different elements, however, the boy was out of their league dodging their attacks and landing his.
"He looks like he is having fun," Yasura said, gulping. the last of her juice. They sat there as handled multitudes of men.
"Indeed, he is working hard so that he can be chosen by your sister, Asura to reunite you two. Even though I keep telling him it's not about strength." Amy sighed as she scrolled through her electronic device.
"What a workaholic. I guess I will be joining then." She said, pushing her drink aside and then walking towards the commotion. With a few steps, she took up the pace and began sprinting.
Her arm changed color to red and the shape changed to a pointy blade. Coming from behind, she struck the back of those who were in her way.
'From behind!' A man noticed. He materialized a spear from his element and threw it toward the young girl.
Seeing this, she performed a front flip over the spear and the one who made it. In mid-air, a red color became visible on her skin and her shape began to change. Becoming slimmer and thinner until finally, she landed into Colby's hand as a 9 feet sword. Some had to back away because they were in the striking range of his sword.
