Jasmine's POV
The next morning when I woke up, I decided to jog a little so I can decide whether to go to Nate or not. I wore my running clothes and shoes.
After that I went outside and started running, while thinking of a decision. Maybe I should hear the side of his story, maybe it was a honest mistake. That was the positive side of mine saying, and then there is the negative side,' Or maybe he just wants to manipulate you, he wants to use you for your family's money. He never loved you the way you loved him.'
I decided that I should ignore the negative side and just go and hear his side of the story, well everyone deserves a second chance. So with that thought I stopped on my track and head back to my apartment.
When I got home, I took my phone and replied to him that we will meet over lunch. And immediately I got a reply. '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒓.𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆. 𝑰 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒂𝒌 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆.' I snorted when I saw the reply from him.
Going to meet him doesn't mean I am going to date him again but I just wanted to know why he did what he did. So I went to take a shower, and had breakfast as usual while watching TV since I did not have a dining room in my apartment.
After I was done eating lunch, I went to wash the dishes. Today I wanted to go and visit my mother since it has been long since I saw her. So after finished washing the dishes, I went in my room to take some clothes to wear. I wore my royal blue turtle neck t-shirt, a grey pencil skirt that I bought yesterday and my five inch heels.
I hailed a taxi and told the driver where to go. You are probably wondering why I would hail a taxi when my family can get me a car easily. It is because I wanted to be independent and not depend on my family's money, so that is why I even moved out of my home.
When the taxi arrived at my family's mansion, I thanked the driver and payed him then get off the car. I was greeted by the bodyguard at the front gate. " Good morning young miss" the bodyguard greeted me.
" Good morning Freddy." I greeted him back. Freddy Mattias has worked for my family since he was a teenager and now he was in his late thirties. He wanted to lead me to the house, but I politely refuse his kind gesture.
" Okay then I will let you be young miss." he said politely to me, even though I told him that he should call me by my name he always refuses and say that it is his way of showing respect. So now I never even bother to correct him and just let him be.
I went inside the house and was let in by the new butler since our former butler was getting too old for the job. " Good morning young miss." greeted the butler. I rolled my eyes in my head, I hate being called that, but what to do, so I just smile at him and greeted back," Good morning."
You can come in, Madam is in the living room doing some knitting." the butler says to me with a smile.
" Thank you" I say to him as I enter. I look inside the house and it is pretty much looks the same way it used to look like before aside from the new vase on the table near the door. I look for my mom and as the butler said, she was indeed in the living room. " Good morning Mom." I say to her excited to see her.
My mom jumped a little, I guess I caught her off guard. She turned around and looked at me." Oh my darling daughter, you are here at last. I have missed you so much these past few days." my mom says while approaching me. She cupped my face and looked at me with worry written on her face. " Are you alright dear?" my mom asks me.
" I am fine mom, really I am" I reply, trying to assure her that I an fine.
" Okay then dear, come have a seat" she says already going to sit down and I follow behind her.
" So has Nate tried to contact you?" my mom asks.
" Yes he did. And I am going to meet him over lunch today" I say to her.
" What the hell Jasmine." a voice comes from the front door.
