The next morning, Corrine found her cat snuggling warmly next to her naked body. The soft fur made her smile but when she realized her nakedness, she instantly sat up from her bed and walked to her body-length mirror. She scanned her chest, her neck and her wrist. Aside from the hickeys and other faint bruises, she didn't see any teeth marks or a mark that would prove their bond.
She didn't know why but there was a surge of disappointment and relief in her heart. She couldn't point out which weighs more to her at this moment but her displeasure instantly showed on her face.
Sensing her distress, her cat woke up and looked at her but she was so focus on her emotions to even notice the change of his eye color. Her cat's eyes have turned crimson just like Damon's original eye color but she was busy starting her walls over again – not sparing her cat a glance.
