Chapter 6 - chapter 6: Molly in Golden city

I woke up after the long trip only to find myself at place full of activities and full with people.

" Dear passengers this is the final destination which is Golden city and you can now go tour way from here."The driver announced loudly

Finally I was here. I went to the nearest booth and dialed Mrs Liam's phone number that my mom wrote me the previous day.

with only two rings Mrs Liam picked up the phone.

"Hello Mrs Liam good afternoon.I am already at the bus stop we just arrived right now. Mom said that once I arrive I should inform you to pick me up." I told her enthusiastically.

"Hello dear good afternoon to you too.I am glad that you arrived. Just give me 30 minutes and I'll be there okay?" came Mrs Liam's sweet voice.

I sat on a nearby bench as I waited for her while observing my sorroundings.

I realised that everyone was basically minding his or her own business.

From a far I could see tall buildings that I have never seen before and people were really smartly dressed.

"Mommy look at her did she come from a bush." I heard a little girl saying while pointing her tiny fingers at me.

"Don't say that out loud she might hear you."the woman told her kid without any intention of correcting her.

Did the kid just say that I came from the bush? That was so rude and the mom did nothing about it.

I glanced at my self once again. There is nothing wrong with how I am dressed.

I am just putting on a simple dress with some flats.

Maybe it was the simplicity of my dressing code that gave out the illusion.

Are the kids in the city so undisciplined?

I shrugged my shoulder while continuing minding my own business.

After along trip I was really thirsty as I came to think about it. I saw a vendor selling some fruit juice nearby and decided to grab some.

After receiving my order I inserted a straw and took a sip.

"Oh my goodness what is this. Is this some kind of joke?" I asked No one in particular as I glanced at the item in my hand.

The juice was expensive but it was nothing near good.

It had some nasty sourness in it that my taste buds could not bear.

Was it because I was used to the fresh ones that we sold back at home?

To quench my thirst I had to endure besides I had no money left to buy a bottle of water.

Just then a lady bumped on me making the juice container fall down spilling out all the contents.

"Are you blind watch where you are going girl. You just made my shoes dirty with your stupid juice."the lady yelled in annoyance.

I was taken aback by her attitude. She was clearly the one who bumped into me and I am the one she wronged yet she was acting like the victim.

Instead of apologizing she yelled at me then she dare walk away.

"I can't believe it. Some pests are really looking for trouble. It has been long since I gave someone a really good beating." I muttered under my breath

To be honest I was really frustrated to the core. I just reached the city yet trouble is already looking for presence. Will I really do this?

That was the last question that I asked myself before Mrs Liam arrived.
