James drove at high speed through the bloody world Odin played his guitar as he laid on the bed of the truck. Samantha who was with him looked up from the video playing on her glasses and asked. "You like old classic metal?"
"Yea why?"
"Can you play some thy art is murder?"
Before Odin could say that wasn't classic metal he realized it has been over two hundred years. by now that was classic it was like telling a person from the 19 century Tchaikovsky was an old classical composer. sure for you, it is but to them he was a modern composer.
"Yea I can," Odin said as he played the opening to slaves beyond death.
"If only I could go to one of their concerts back in the 21 century," Samantha said as he listened to the guitar. In the modern era, most music was made using computers and AI. not like back then most people used actual instruments the only ones that really survived were the keyboard to add beats. even the modern metal scene was very digitized any concert was made using keyboards instead of guitars basses and drums.
In today's age, guitars were only collectibles that coasted tens of thousands at the cheapest. even ones made recently were expensive for anyone to buy. when you could just use a computer to make music.
As Odin continued to play the guitar James decided he would flip the switch to go to second gear. Omega plugged the neural wire to his neck in case he needed to take control of the vehicle.
"Empires buried in sand a history of the failures in man" odins sang the next song he enjoyed the wind passing by him.
Odin wondered how long the trip would take since they were close to 50,000 mph and still no place was near.
Finishing the song he sang the next Odin played without care as he stood up he felt the wind hit his face and felt the bite of the air.
"I guess you got what you wanted So I will settle for a slaughterhouse soaked in blood and betrayal!" odin let go and the gforces pushed him back making him fall from the truck but Odin flipped and ran with the vehicle.
"Is he actually keeping up with the truck?" Samantha asked Serena who was next to her.
"Yes, he is," Serena replied cheerfully.
"Does he always does this?"
"Yes, many times get used to it." omega responded by the earpiece.
"How has he not killed himself from doing stupid things?" Samantha asked.
"In short it's because he's Odin." omega responded James pushed the truck to 60k mph which he couldn't handle so omega took immediate control of the truck.
"Don't try to do things you can't do when it will affect others." omega reprimanded James as he sped the vehicle he took the liberty to read his mind for the destination.
The dungeon was all the way in the southeastern hemisphere of mars.
'It shouldn't have even taken that long to reach Hella at this speed either this guy sucks at driving or there's a spatial anomaly on Mars?' omega thought as he increased the speed as he drove he examined the area and discovered that his speculation of a spatial anomaly was correct.
This was a repetitive anomaly so it wasn't bad like being in a loop but this meant they would take a lot of time. So omega did what was reasonable to him and flipped the red switch.
As this was manually controlled omega had to do the calculations and predictions so he wouldn't crash into a rock. Odin noticed the spatial warping from the truck and stopped playing as the truck distorted he followed it at the same speed.
Naturally if one moved faster than the speed of light they wouldn't be able to see to counter this most people either used different skills. like clairvoyance to see into the future since it wasn't distorted by the speed the user was going at. Or others would look at the sub-dimensions of reality to navigate the strings that moved the world.
Another way to look at the code that made reality but only a few had access to this way since it contains every form of information which lead most to deny reality.
Odin slowly walked on the higher sub-dimensions he ignored the scenery as he could see every single possible timeline happening at once and to him, it was a spoiler. As the truck was taking too long for his liking he appeared at the dungeon and waited.
After ten seconds the truck appeared in the distance omega had slowed the truck down to 200 mph since he left the anomaly. those in and outside the truck felt horrible as omega forgot to turn on the elica fields. the group was experiencing the effects of light sickness except for bob he was sleeping the entire time.
"What the fuck was that!?" James yelled as he looked at omega who was looking in the distance can't his eyes have a green glint in them.
"There are many things skills, magic, and technology can do one of them is this form of FTL travel this bends space in front and behind us to move us without having to move." omega explained as his eyes turned back to Normal. When James saw his eyes he caught the faint look of apathy towards him.
'Oh well, your apathetic eyes are getting you in trouble 'little brother' now he thinks you hate him or something." Odin said telepathically as he laughed in the distance his laugh was actually very loud that it was picked up in the truck's sensors.
James looked to the front and saw Odin laughing which shocked him.
"How is he over there?"
"Because he's Odin if you ever have stupid questions like that again I won't answer it." omega said as he closed his eyes to enjoy the calmness of the martian world.
James was still confused about how Odin was already there when he realised he fell of the truck can he go faster then light was that even possible for ex-rank beings? And another reason was why was his question stupid it was a logical one.
The truck stopped near Odin who sat on the rock the group who started to feel better got out and took deep breaths but they wore suits so it didn't change anything. Odins group was the only one that didn't wear Evo suits James group thought they had a passive skill to breathe in space or we're using magic.
"Here take these it'll get you back to peak state," Odin said as he handed out a red capsule to the group. As they took it they felt a soft current of static in them and soon their muscles tensed up before relaxing they felt very calm and full of energy.
Odin looked at the patroling AI and mechs two colossi were guarding the dungeon which was something new to Odin.
"So before we go in let me inform you of the gate," James said as he took out a tablet from his armor spatial pocket.
"Couldn't you have told us on the ride here?" Odin said as he started at the colossus near to him.
"Yes, but I felt it be better right now," James said but, in reality, he had forgotten he was too excited to have a hunter at the EX rank or maybe higher.
"Whatever floats your boat," Odin said his irises turned crimson and returned to normal.
"This dungeon is called the resting place of the monk." James started his explanation of the dungeon.
The dungeon was classified as a Draco class dungeon which they shouldn't even be here as each rank was ten times the stats in the S rank category. Triple s rank hunters had 100M in each stat above some said it was also ten times and others said a hundred.
"So let me get this straight each of us is an s rank hunter and we are raiding an sss rank dungeon isn't this suicide?" Odin asked.
"We can do it we are known for fighting above our range and you have made quite the fuzz for fighting many s rank dungeons in a week," James said.
Odin understood the meaning of the words James knew he could easily clear the dungeon by himself. so he was the carrier for this raid and even then while his group was s rank they had the storm suit which increased their stats by ten times. so they could be classified as ss rank hunters.
"Also this is dungeon contains ancient history," James said.
"What do you mean like that dungeon you said belonged to the what was it called God something?" Alice said as she equipped her sword to her back.
"Yes, this dungeon contains history from the age of gods!" James affirmed Alice's question.
"How do you know?" Odin asked James.
"I received information from the hunters association." James made up an excuse.
"I see." Odin didn't care he walked to the dungeon and entered it.
The group followed Odin and arrived in the dungeon they saw many trees and a path that lead up to the temple in the mountain.
[Welcome to the resting place of the monk of time
Objective defeat the monk]
"Ok follow me!" James ordered as they walked up the mountain but didn't go all the way up they took an overgrown dirt path.
"Why didn't we go just up?" Odin asked as he got bored of the peaceful environment.
"If we went up we would have died fighting the warrior monks that protect the resting place of the monk," James said as he slashed the vines that blocked their path.
As Odin heard that he flashed and appeared near the temple no one noticed his absence. I don walked up the last ten steps and appeared in the court of the temple.
"Dar bar ek!" the men said they looked withered and starved it reminded Odin of when he met Buddha back on earth. Before his ascension when Buddha wandered the earth he met Odin when they first met Odin was destroying a country. his red blade became stained with blood but his black robes didn't change a bit.
At that time he saw the evil in man and also the good of man. If Buddha was a good man then Odin would be an evil man but he also realized that Odin did not consider this evil at all. Later on, he understood that evil does exist but it can't be classified as good exist but it can't be classified.
One man could kill to save others and he would be named a hero but he still killed an act of evil another could sacrifice many for his own beloved and be proclaimed a villain but he was doing it for the good of another.
Evil is not black and good is not white in the end before he reached nirvana he learned that what he saw of Odin was chaos a balance of evil and good and the opposite of chaos was order the disharmony of evil and good.
Odin still remembered the man who had the wisdom and a will to learn and also a man that looked like a skeleton covered in skin.
Odin summoned a staff and got ready to fight
