Odin attacked with a sweep attack the monk dodged by jumping in the air he then kicked with his long legs towards odins head. Odin blocked it using the end of the staff to divert the leg from his head.
Odin used the staff to balance himself as he used both his legs to kick into the monk's chest. The monk still dogged the attack and counted by using his legs again but once again Odin used the staff to divert the attack.
The other four monks watched as they fought they did not move but stood as statues ever-present in time.
"Dre lo afu?" one of them asked his voice couldn't be heard at all but the monks still somehow heard it.
"Nakd eos qodn i's?" the one to the far left asserted his voice was the same it couldn't be heard but one could still hear it.
The sky started to darken and rain heavily. Odin and the monk fought with increasing speed each attack was faster than the last by now they appeared as after images that could still be seen. But soon it started to speed up to a point light couldn't reach them fast enough.
Odin spun the staff in the air before spinning with it he then grabbed it by the end sending an attack with high momentum into the monk's skull. The monk could not block it and his head instantly exploded into ash.
Odin switched his staff to twin daggers one of the monks appeared rapidly in front and attacked with his fingers using them as claws.
Odin let the attack reach him before opening his mouth and biting off the monk's fingers.
"Ttakk und?" the monk said as he retreated his fingers regrew in a split second.
"Time magic huh?" Odin said as he threw the daggers into the air the two daggers circled him and became four and then right and then hundreds of daggers encircled him.
Odin snapped his fingers and the daggers disappeared but the monk whose body was withered now had shiny daggers sticking out of him. The monk turned to ash and another joined in to fight Odin.
Odin stretched his hands out and a scythe appeared on his right and a curved sword appeared on his left.
"You know what's interesting about this curved sword?" Odin said to the monk who used his palm to attack him.
"It's made from the eternity hand of the clock of time," Odin said as he spun the curved sword cut the palm in two. the monk jumped back but found out he couldn't move or more that his body had aged beyond the time the monk saw the end. He saw as everything became nothing and returned to the abyss but he looked in front and saw a man the same man he was fighting he stood ever there never aged.
"Heh, it seems your time is up it is time for you to relive your miserable life here's some advice about reincarnation."
"you do get another life but it's the same one just in the next cycle it's all predetermined in the end after all so my advice is not to get too sad once the reputation hits," Odin said with a smile the monk saw as the infinite darkness was alighted in a golden light. a small tree in a bag appeared its green leaf fell and soon many stars alighted into being before dying in seconds.
"I embrace the dark depth of my mind." Odin began to sing as the stars became countless.
"That invades my heart." the monk felt a heavy tiredness as he watched the stars form and then the planets started to form.
"Cause without darkness Who am I?" as Odin finished the monk closed his eyes witnessing grand being upon Thornes. masses of the chaos formed into being of unimaginable insanity. Begins that could be seen as righteous and merciful gods fell one by one and only gods filled with malice and wisdom survived.
Before he faded and returned back to time he heard Odin speak.
"Time is of no value you have an infinity only us eternal and immortals can value time for we have none at all."
Odin placed his curved sword back to his warehouse and her the scythe with his two hands. The last monk was in front and he held a bamboo sword.
"You are Odin aren't you?" the monk spoke in English which actually surprised Odin in the age of gods English did exist but it was called old draconian and was very difficult to learn it. as it was used by dragons or the offspring of them and they wouldn't teach a human their language.
"Yes I am warrior monk of time," Odin said with a slight smile.
"I presume you are here to kill my master?"
"Yes, I am."
"Thank you I wish I could let you straight ahead but the system is forcing me to fight you." the monk as he sighed.
"Well that sucks but that is fate you are either used or you use others, no ifs and or buts." Odin joked as he closed in on the monk his scythe decapitated him.
"But hey at least you went out painlessly," Odin said as he walked up the stairs to the actual temple.
"And you Odin will take these on ok?" James said as he looked at the rock statues that circled a cave.
"Um he left like half an hour ago." omega said as he looked at James.
"What!?" James turned around and saw that omega was right Odin was gone and he didn't feel his aura dissipate it still felt like he was here.
"Where did he go why didn't you tell me?" James asked as he grabbed omega's collar.
"Let go and he is at the time the guards are probably dead by now." omega said as he grabbed James' wrist and used no force to move it off himself. But to James, he felt as if two mountains were squeezing his hand and turning it into a paste.
"Why would he go there?" Alice asked as she looked at the oath they walked.
"Because the walk was boring for him so an easy enemy was a better option." omega answered.
"We have to go back then!" James said as he started to walk back to the beginning.
Odin entered the temple and was met with mountains instead of any furniture or walls. Each mountain stood tall and straight and each of them made an even bigger Mountain it continued until a huge mountain stood at the center. Each peak had a monk and the bugger the mountain the better they looked. At the tallest mountain, he saw a monk that looked still alive he was mediating as time particles circled around him.
Odin's appearance caused the monks to stare at him after a few minutes they attacked him at the same time. Odin used his limbs to fight Odin countered their martial arts with a copy of theirs. The only difference was that Odin had the full understanding of the martial art making it more deadlier and efficient.
After a hundred monks died the rest of the ten thousand monks started to use weapons from blades to whips to staffs.
"Heh, this makes me feel like I've been abandoned once again," Odin said as he watched the thousands of monks attack him.
Odins formed soon changed as a black mass appeared it formed and became a giant wolf it's obsidian like teeth had a glimmer as he charged at the monks with increasing blood lust.
The group went up the stairs to the courtyard and saw it was empty omega continued on into the temple to which they followed. When they entered they saw Odin switching between different forms from a wolf to a mass of tentacles to swarms of small dogs each eliminating monks in seconds.
Odin switched to another form his entire body was an obsidian black except the eyes which were white. his mouth was covered by mandibles large horns protruded from his forehead.
He opened his mouth and a white beam left his mouth omega out up a barrier to protect them from the immense radiation that left Odin's mouth.
"I'll tell you once more it's because he's Odin so don't ask." omega said as he saw James opening his mouth.
Odin switched again and became his normal self fighting the last thousand monks using his teeth and hands. His face was covered in blood and his teeth had chunks of flesh from the monks that still had living skin.
The monk at the peak opened his eyes and smiled his friend had come to lay him to rest.
