*** Time-Lapse***
***6 months have gone by, since Dahlia's shift and the loss of her mother and pack members. Somethings have changed. Ethan, Dahlia's father became her advisor on how to run a pack. Dahlia went against the pressures of the Beta division and made Jackson her Beta. Dahlia also mastered her shift, but has yet to unlock her true power with her lineage. Her spirit wolves, keep telling her it will happen, when it happens. Only, a certain kind of event can make her powers come out, whether it be, from protecting her loved ones or another celestial event. Being she's the first of her kind, there's no telling when it will happen. Dahlia, also has mastered self defense thanks to her loyal guards, after endless sessions in.the pack gym. addition, there has been immense pressure, from the Supernatural council for Dahlia to come before them. Dahlia has been putting it off. Dahlia also learned more about her lineage and how they were true kings and queens of the werewolf communities.***
"Dad, I really don't understand why I have to be paraded around and appease the council" Dahlia said frustrated. "Dahlia, there's just a certain order in the Supernatural community. They want to make sure you know your duties as Luna, to a royal bloodline and to make sure you're not a threat to the council" my dad said exhausted. "Why would I be a threat?" Dahlia asked. "Dahlia, you know very well, because of Genevieve and Sébastien. They tried to over throw the council" my dad replied frustrated. "When will I stop being compared to them!" Dahlia growled. "Honey, calm down, it's just for one day, for a couple hours. You can do it" my dad said encouraging. "What if they do something ridiculous?" Dahlia asked. "Well, unfortunately for them, your bloodline alone out rules their wants and needs. As long as it's not too outlandish, we can compromise" my dad said. "Compromise" Dahlia repeated while rolling her eyes. "It just seems like a circus. I dont want to be apart of it" Dahlia said further frustrated. "I know baby, it's just this one time hopefully" My dad said. "Hopefully is the keyword. See you don't even fully know what the hell these politicians want" Dahlia said. My dad started to laugh. "Politicians" he said laughing. "That's probably the best description of them I've heard, you sounded like your mother for a second" my dad said still laughing. I ended up joining him in having a good laugh. "Okay dad, I'll do it for you but if any bullshit becomes of it, I'm taking it out on you" Dahlia said wiggling her eyebrows at her dad. That just encouraged my dad's bad behavior more. "Okay good! I'll take you shopping for a "Royal dress" my dad said making finger quotes. "Knock it off" I said elbowing him. "The real pain in the ass part, is that you'll have to take etiquette classes, to deal with the council" my dad said seriously. "Oh brother" Dahlia said. "Hey, I'm arranging it with Mary and Ethel" My dad said. "Oh I love those two!" Dahila said excited. "They have real experience in these kinds of things and they will help you get prepared. Unfortunately, the council is a bunch of stuck up snobs" my dad said. "Politicians always are" Dahlia said with a big grin. "Okay good, it's settled then" my dad replied. A mail carrier that I've never seen before came running towards our study. "Advisor! Advisor Ethan!" the unknown voice said. "We're in here!" my dad instructed. "It must be another carrier from the council" my dad said. The figure came running in. "Oh good, Advisor Ethan, I have this letter..." My dad cut him off. "Let me guess, an invitation from the council?" my dad with anger. "Why...why yes" the unknown man said with fear. My dad took a piece of paper and scribbled down something and he signed it. "Dahlia read this and sign it" my dad said handing me the pen never breaking eye contact with the carrier. "We accept the invitation and will make our debut in one months time. Signed Ravenwood Advisor" the note read. "Everything looks good" Dahlia said as she signed the note. "Luna Dahlia Ravenwood". "You're...You're not going to read the letter first" the carrier asked. "No need" my father said coldly. I handed him the letter and he had placed our family crest in wax to seal the letter. "Here, this is an official reply, do hurry up and take care" my father said handing the carrier the note. The carrier took off out of the study and we heard him exit the mansion. "Persistent aren't they" Dahlia said to her father. "Understatement of the year" my dad said. "Now that we sent an official reply, there's still more work to be done, are you up for it?" my dad said. "Anything for the pack" I replied. "Let's read the latest letter" my dad said.
"Luna Ravenwood,
You're cordially invited to make your debut, into the supernatural community. The council will hold a grand ball, to welcome you. Please, send your reply as soon as possible, so proper arrangements can be made. This invitation is a mere formality, attendance is mandatory.
Signed
Lord Ulrich."
"This guy seems pretty full of himself dad. His name even means ruler of wolves" Dahlia said. "I forgot that you're such a smarty pants. They guy is indeed a pompous ass but he's dangerous and we can't afford to upset him" my dad said sternly. Dahlia holds up her hand to promise her dad "I promise, I will behave and do my very best not to insult our pack or the council" Dahlia said. "I know you will do your best. Should we get started?" my dad said. "Yes! With only a month, I can't waste any time" Dahlia said. "Okay great! let's head to the pack town and meet up with Ethel and Mary to make arrangements" my father said pleased. I nod in compliance and we make our way out of the mansion and head towards the water mirror. Even though Dahlia feels this is more of a waste of time, but she's not willing to disappoint her father or her pack. Dahlia has decided, she will put on a brave face and get this annoyance behind her, so that she can just focus on her pack.
