"Emma, I'm telling you I can feel it in my bones, something awful is going to happen" Ethan pleaded. "Honey, for once can you show some optimism. Dahlia has already been through enough" Emma scolded. "I get that but I'm telling you, the worst is yet to come!" Ethan booms. "Don't raise your voice at me! I'm just as worried!" Emma stated. "Emma, please, we have barely 29 hours until her transformation is to take place" Ethan stated. "What do you think will happen?!" Emma demanded. "If I knew exactly what will happen, I would already be ready for it!" Ethan yelled. "Emma, it's driving me and my wolf stir crazy! Someone is ten steps ahead of us and I can't sniff them out!" Ethan expressed. Emma take a few moments to take in her husband's pleads. There's no denying, that a wolf's and parent's intuition could be wrong. Emma thinks clearly on his words and tries to help him make the best educated guess on how to prepare. "Do you think Tobias will try and strike again?" Emma asked coldly. "That's what I was contemplating as well but how would they get here? I already destroyed the portal, would he really travel by boat?!" Ethan contemplated. "We already have so much to do and prepare for. We need need be there for Dahlia but we also need to be prepared for all potential attacks" Emma said. "We know, Vampires are creatures of the night, so anything related to vampire would happen at night. Dahlia is most vulnerable when the moon peaks and her transformation begins" Emma expressed. "I get that but A few days ago, Dahlia told us to beware the witch? Who's the witch?!" Ethan exclaimed. "I do not know, if a witch is involved, it can most certainly be a suprised attack and we would be caught off guard" Emma expressed. "Has anything usual happened in the past few months?" Emma asked. "That's the thing, besides Dahlia's battle with power, nothing comes to mind!" Ethan said on edge. "We need to inform the elite guards and prepare them for all possibilities" Emma stated. "That's a start, but those soilders are still nearly pups" Ethan expressed. "Dahlia, trusts them, so we must have faith in them as well" Emma said. "We must sacrifice our lives if need be Ethan, you better be ready" Dahlias mother said coldly. "I will do anything for our daughter you know that!" Ethan yelled. "Then get your head on straight!" Emma demanded. "Yes, dear you're right, you usually are. I'm going to go to Jackson and have him get the guards ready" Ethan said more calmed. "Emma, try to get some rest, we need you at your best. You're the strongest one of us currently and we may have to lean on you" Ethan stated with compassion. "Don't worry about me, go and get them ready at all costs" Emma stated. Ethan went and embraced his wife in a much needed soothing hug. He gave his wife a kiss and headed straight for the guards. Ethan arrived at the barracks and was greeted by Jackson. "Hello, sir, what can I do for you?" Jackson stated. "Jackson, you have been very loyal in these last few weeks. I'm afraid we must ask you to make more sacrifices" Ethan stated. "Whats the matter?" Jackson asked. "Emma and I feel Tobias may make another move on Dahlia. You know that means when she's at her most vulnerable" Ethan stated. "What do we do?" Jackson asked. "Things would be so much easier if our pack witch still walked the earth, but it's up to us, to be the repellent" Ethan stated. "Beta, I will do as commanded" Jackson said. "I want the elite guards to surround Dahlia at the time of her shift, you know to give enough space for the unexpected. I will also need you to send more soilders to keep watch on the shoreline. We think a witch is still involved with Tobias, so they will try to catch us off guard" Ethan exclaimed. "Jackson, do we still have the UV land mines and bullets?" Ethan asked. "Yes, sir, we will prepare them and safeguard the beaches and surrounding area" Jackson said. "Jackson, you have been formally invited by the Luna to be at her side. that's where I want you to stay" Ethan commanded. "Get the squads ready and go to Dahlia as if nothing is wrong" Ethan said. "You want me to hide this from her?" Jackson asked. "Yes, she will have more than enough to worry about" Ethan stated. "As you wish" Jackson replied. "Go now! we only have 29 hours!" Ethan demanded. Jackson nodded his head and took off to comply with Ethan's requests.
