***Jackson's perspective of getting ready for a war and ceremony. With little time left, will they get enough done, to save Dahlia and the pack.***
I arrived at the barracks to relay to the squad that we need to fortify the Island. We went to the weapons locker and grabbed our latest top grade weaponry. Technology, has helped the Supernatural world in astronomical ways. Technology, has helped balance the different advantages each race faces. Werewolves, are vulnerable against Vampire underlings, Silver, Wolfsbane, Witches and Fae magic. Everything we are doing, is to protect us from Witch magic and Vampire underlings. We placed a protection seal in the garden where Dahlia is supposed to have her shift. We also took, the time to place over 500 UV land mines. The mines are equipped with special detection; Cold seeking. The mines will not go off if a warm blooded being steps on it. Five hundred mines can seem excessive, but it's normal for a Vampire lord or King to send thousands of underlings at once. In addition to the mines, we unpacked thousands of UV bullet rounds. Once the UV rounds are fired and hit their target, they explode sending rays of UV as powerful as the sun through out the creature. These rounds kill them instantly. Our firepower seems like a lot, but when they attacked back in Dravenwood, there was easily a couple hundred, we were just lucky enough to escape from most of them. We also grabbed regular mines to hide at the shoreline. Not as affective and safe as the UV mines, but that would be our 1st warning alarm. Around the mansion we placed trip wire, that would alert us if anything manages to slip by us. Inside the garden we put up wards, that would disable the witches magic. Being just regular soliders, we barely stand a chance by facing a witch head on. We have to use more creative measures. Even After all this fortification, we have a slim chance at success. Our numbers aren't what they used to be and all our soilders are still very much young and inexperienced in real battle. Even I am not as prepared as I should be. After we were finished getting the Island battle ready, we got back to, making sure all of Dahlia's decor and tables and chairs are ready and to hang the rest of the moss, flower and Sage garlands. We place the lanterns every where in the garden, some on tables and some hanging from garland strands. It looks like a fairy tale. Almost like a Fae den. Dahlia will love it, I hope we made her proud. After a very long day, I tell the squad to go get rest, we're gonna need it. I, myself need some rest. With 20 hours left until the transformation, I must be ready for battle and to escort the Luna. Before, I go to sleep, I head back to Dahlia's room, I open the door and peak on how she's doing. She must have been very tired, because she looks crazy right now. Completely, intertwined in her blankets, a leg dangling off the bed, and just a god awful snore. I can't help but chuckle. "Rest well" I whisper. I take my leave and head to bed. I just fall into bed wearing my tattered uniform and drift off to sleep.
