Today we get to meet the new Luna. Everyone is scared shitless...Our royal Luna, Dahlia, is the daughter of; Genevieve and Sébastien, two of the most ruthless Leaders the Ravenwood lineage has ever seen. Besides that we know very little. I've instructed my fellow squad mates to be on point. Being the oldest of the 12, at just 23 years old, they tend to follow what I say. I had a brief council with Jackson, her current guard, who's brother was just killed from a savage vampire underling attack. He's very vague about Dahlia, and keeps telling me to keep an open mind about meeting her. No one can blame me for having some involuntary resentment. Dahlias parents are the reason my parents died. I try to comfort my squads worries, but we have little choice, we are born to serve the rightful heir. Whether she follows in her parents foot steps or is something else, it's too soon to be determined. I heard she's never shifted once, that's unique. Jackson just mind linked me, I guess it's go time. I alert the squad; Anthony, Brain, Benny, Jacob, Scott, Jared, Samuel, Zachary, Marshall, Phoebe, Mavis and myself. As instructed we go and fall into line on the beach just off the Ravenwood mansion. The anticipation is tearing us apart, but we can't let it show. We wait and wait. We finally see two figures walk this way, I tell the squad to "Stay calm" their nerves are making me unsettled. Once they come into closer range, we see her. I stand in amazement, she is so beautiful and one of a kind. Red multicolored hair, tall, she's strong, what's with her eyes?... One red, one Purple, I hope she recovered from her previous injuries..She greets us with a smile and we greet her back "Luna". Jackson commands us to fall in sparring pairs, easy enough. I watch her as I'm sparring with Jared. Our Luna looks bored, It feels like she is sensing each one of us out. Jackson all of a sudden commands us to stop. Oh boy, here we go. Our Luna, starts to address us. She praises us on our skills, but would rather know our names and become familiar with our wolves and to treat her casually, call her Dahlia. What the hell? I wasn't expecting that at all. We all shift one by one, I am last to shift, I watch as her eyes sparkle with admiration of our wolves. Dahlia, says we are beautiful and that she wants us all to join the detail. What did she see and sense that we couldn't? Our Luna invites us to share a meal with her and get to know her. I feel like this is a dream, I never expected this mere Luna of Almost 18, to be so gracious and caring. We meet her parents, the famous Ethan and Emma Johnson who fought off the attempted extinction of the Ravenwood lineage. It's so awesome to meet them. Dahlia, sits quietly for most of it, she is just observing us. I'm sure she has a lot on her mind. I can tell she's exhausted. I can sense her power trying to break free. Dahlia asks her mother about her early life, she didn't mind we were there. They also, talk about decorations, that we end up getting split up to do. Dahlia ends up excusing herself to go rest, she dismissed all of us, including Jackson. Jackson. is given 2 days off but invited to escort her to her ceremony. I wasn't expecting any of this. It seems surreal. Dahlia, seems to be more than what meets the eye. A blessing from the moon goddess herself? Stay strong Luna, I am looking to our future together.
