Lia was still in her bed not being able to close her eyes even for a second, she was wondering what would be going in the other room. After the small fight she picked with Ren, Noah still went with her making Lia feel bad. She felt like a third wheel because they both bonded well all of a sudden and even during the dinner, she had noticed it.
Noah sat with Ren by her side and ate up the food which was served to him without caring about anything else. Lia had no idea what the food even was and how to eat it using the two sticks which was provided to her. It took her a lot of time to even pick up a piece of string which was supposedly the food. Noah had his eyes only on the food and Ren while her eyes were getting filled with tears.
"I have to go to bed, I am tired." Lia walked to the room to get away from the scene.
Why was it hurting her so much to see him with another girl? Of course, she didn't have any feelings for him and it was only few days since she met him and got to know him. Noah was of course a very caring soul but he was being a shit head to her from the start. But the feeling of being detached from her real world and being planted in another all to herself.
Lia turned to face the window as she looked at the faint moon light falling in the room accompanied by millions of stars. Tears rolled down her eyes to the bed wetting the covers. She bit her lips to not make a noise but her heart wanted to scream and shout as the pain was growing in her.
She didn't even notice the door opening and someone entering to the room. The figure stood by the side of the bed and looked at her in a fetus position. Her condition was bothering the person too, the way she struggled to pull herself together but something was still messed up.
"Are you crying?" He asked in his deep raspy voice from behind her.
"Uh." Lia jolted up from the bed and looked back to see the boy standing by the end of her bed with hands folded over his torso.
"You were." He answered it himself seeing the wet cheeks and red puffed eyes.
"Why are you in here now? Did she ask you to send me away or something?" Lia asked wiping the tears off her face and looking away from him.
"No." his answer was simple and short making her wonder if it was the same Noah who teased and made fun of her.
"So?" she asked noticing that the boy hasn't left from there.
"I don't want you to stress much and hurt the cubs. This is the time for you to rest."
"Why do you care about my cubs so much instead of wondering about my situation? I look pathetic right now." she looked at him with her eyes again filled with tears.
"If you are going to cry, Ren would wake up and take me away." He sighed as he took a place, next to her.
"Why did you even come here in the first place? It looks like she is the one who controls you."
"Aren't we staying at her place? Isn't she the one who cured my leg and saved us from another danger?"
"You think that we owe her?" Lia asked staring at him.
"We both do." His eyes were shining in the faint moon light.
It was surprising to her even then about how the boy looked so fine. His prominent features did total justice to the side profile he owned. Sharp yet soft jawlines and his long nose stood out from the honey bread cheeks that he owned. His long eyelashes fluttered as he blinked a lot more than usual completely taking her attention.
"Why did we even come here?" she whispered while forcing herself to take her eyes off him.
"This is a better place. We can at least live here peacefully without listening to anyone's command and no more war for power." his answers were simple yet powerful that she couldn't deny him.
"That is where we belong. This is not our place, get hold of it."
"Please, I never belonged there and this place is what I wanted since a long time. You will have to learn many things about this place." he said before getting up to go back to the room.
"You are going?"
"Has to get back before she wakes up." he smiled softly with his lips pressed to each other.
"I am scared to stay alone, can you please stay." Lia spoke very softly hoping he wouldn't hear her but his sense of hearing was on top notch that he immediately heard her.
"Hmm, you want me to stay?" He asked as he opened the door once again.
"What if she wakes up and finds you here?"
"Seriously, I have never been with any girls in my entire life so I don't know what you mean by this. Please be clear with your words." He sighed as he again walked back to the room and plopping on the bed.
"Are you going to sleep here and make me fight with her? I seriously am not in a mood to fight with her so please stay away." She said even though those were not the words that she planned to say.
"I will handle that. She snores in sleep and it is kind of disturbing." He said pulling the blanket from her side and covering himself with it.
"You are a trouble." She chuckled looking at him smirk a little before adjusting to the small space.
