I sat on my bed and stared at my mom who sighed and sat near me on the bed. My mind was a mess and I didn't know what to think about. Is it that I was getting married to someone I didn't know? Or that my dream of a fairy tale marriage with a man I love is about to end or that in just a matter of time my life was about to take a new turn?
"Honey I know this is coming as a shock to you but I need you to know this was a well thought out decision and the Callaghan's will treat you well"my mom started.
I stared at her like she was a stranger. This was not happening.
"Mom, how can you do this?. Making a life changing decision without my permission" I said staring into her eyes.
"I'm sorry, it just came up. Besides we do know the Callaghan's well. Mr Callaghan is a former high school classmate to your father. So we do have the assurance of them treating you well.....

I stared out the window into the dark night as the water falling out the fountain glowed under the blue lights. It was beautiful. But not as beautiful as I imagined my life to be. Me getting married to a man I share a mutual love with and having kids who would be proud to call us parents.
I loved children and had always wanted to have kids and also with a man I loved.
But all that seem to be crashing down. After speaking with my mom I realized there was nothing to be done to take away this seeming nightmare.
Yes nightmare!! I was getting married to Alex Callaghan. The youngest billionaire in America. The cold hearted musician. Most girls in my situation would consider themselves lucky. I see it as a nightmare.
Alex Callaghan is known all around America to be a talented and gorgeously handsome musician. But also known to be rude and arrogant. The world still loved him anyways. He was the opposite of the kind of man I imagined or read in my thousands of romance novels.
But there was nothing I could do about it. I came up with that conclusion when I spoke to father earlier. He had made up his mind and worst of all the wedding was in two days.
My father was never like this and that was how I knew how important this was. He is the best father I could ask for. With him, I always felt less lonely and sad.
I smiled when I remembered how we played together. I smiled when I remembered the man who always put my happiness first. What happened now?
I sighed and went to bed. I needed to speak to Megan tomorrow.
Soon I would be addressed as a married woman. With that thought in mind, I closed my eyes and darkness took over.
Tomorrow I would be meeting my future husband.
