Bane coming back early was something that hadn't been expected.
He made no announcement or requested anyone to pick him up at the airport. He chose to hail an uber instead to take him back home.
He had done it to such a low key point that Celeste was stunned when he was sitting in the kitchen sipping coffee when she got up the following morning.
"You look like you slept well." He remarked as he glanced over at her out of the corner of his eye without fully looking away from the papers in his hand.
"I didn't. But what are you doing bere?" She asked rather stunned.
"What, I'm not allowed to enter my own home any time that I want?" He teased settings the papers down.
"Why didn't you sleep well?"
"No, I just didn't think that you were supposed to be coming back any time soon." Celeste replied ignoring his second question as she stayed standing by the edge of the door frame that led into the kitchen.
