Divo closed his eyes. It probably came across to the little human as an action born out of annoyance when in reality the alpha didn't know what to do. Dealing with people who cried wasn't something he normally did. He didn't have that patience or care for it.
Pups who cried just needed to shape up and if any female or male werewolf cried in his pack even if he felt sorry for them or understood their pain, the alpha never personally dealt with because they either had their mate or other family members to rely on.
This time however his mate was the one who was crying in front of him. There was no one else who was going to come along and deal with the situation. It was up to him to figure out how he was supposed to handle it.
Tiny sobbing sounds escaped Celeste's mouth as she reached her hands up to wipe the tears away. It was obvious that she was doing her best to try and keep her emotions under control but failing miserably despite her best efforts.
