Spirit Chronicles: Tale of the world's strongest Jaeger
They say curiosity would be the doom of mankind. A group of researchers just proved that notion when they tried to investigate an ancient alter, mastakenly opening the gate to Entomorphia, the land of giant bugs known as Entomorphs.
As millions of entomorphs poured out of the wormhole and invaded earth, the world superpower could do nothing as their guns, tanks and bombs were useless against the bugs. Soon, one by one, big countries perished. And when almost all hopes were lost, one ray of light showed up as humanity's savior. Alien beings called spirits. Living among humans and taking the shape of different lifeforms, these spirits extended their helping hand towards humans. Forging a contract with the spirits could grant the contractor known as Jaegers power. Power that could effectively destroy the entomorphs. Thus began humanity's tale of reclaiming the earth as its rightful inhabitants.
Ray Foster, a student of the Jaeger Academy, was nicknamed the prodigal failure for his inability to forge a contract even after having the largest spirit energy reserve of all the Jaegers. But it changed when, on a fateful evening, Ray found and rescued an injured cat. As Ray healed up the cat with his care, he quickly learnt that the cat was a spirit. As a reward for taking care of her, the cat forged a contract with Ray, turning him into a full-fledged Jaeger.
With Yuki, the cat, on his side, Ray began his journey of becoming the strongest Jaeger in the history of mankind.
