For the next three days, the same pattern continued at work for Celeste.
Her or Diana would get there first and this would set the position for whoever took the customer's orders. The former managed to win out two of the three days. She wasn't sure though if this made things better or worse for her.
Diana didn't seem to like to be the one behind the counters helping the other part-time workers prepare the drinks. Especially when the rush hour hit. It required more work than standing at the front talking to customers and taking down what they wanted.
In retrospect, it made sense to Celeste why she politely insisted on taking care of the customers the first day. She didn't want to be the one having to do all the hard work of getting things together and running around. At least she didn't have to deal with Celeste critiquing what she did. Pepper and Jasmine did that enough.
