Colt was caught offguard by the question. He didn't expect her to ask him that. He came to look for her with little hope of getting back into her good graces.
His words cut deeper than a knife and he knew it. He swallowed , trying to get rid of the sudden dryness in his throat.
Moving closer, he covered the distance between then until his thighs touched hers.
"I was in love with Lila. She was my first love, however, she isn't my last love."
He watched her take in his words, saw the little flicker in her gaze and the nervous way she was fidgeting with her hands.
