Somewhere in the middle of a forest, a cave lay hidden from the world. Despite being in a fairly open place, no one could tell it existed due to the illusionary shield around it.
A frail figure sat inside, her once beautiful features contorted into an ugly made. Her body looked so fragile, ready to give up on her at any moment.
Her eyes. Her eyes were like an endless dark pool that carried a promise of death in their depth.
There was no sign of life around her. Inside the cave, there was some modern equipment as well as old ones. Things that would be considered ancient if it was seen by the outside world.
Iris sat on the bed, staring at the mirror on the whole. Inside, she could see the entire realm and its operation. The mirror acted like an old version of a CCTV camera except it needed magic to fuel it.
