Kai's breath was coming in shallow by the second. Although Zander took most of the pain for him, it was still inevitable for him to feel the impact.
This was because his heart ached so much he could hardly breathe. If anyone walked into the room and found them, they would be shocked by the sight.
Kai had managed to adjust his chair until he could comfortably lay on it. Zander was still straddling him, with all his body parts touching Kai.
The heat from his body and the harsh breath could easily mislead any on-looker. Both their hairs were messy and loose.
Kai adjusted his position and pulled Zander away to take some weight off his body. The abnormal heat from both their bodies wasn't helping either of their situations.
He lowered his face, his gaze resting on the other man's face. Zander's face laid restlessly on his heart. The man's thick brows and long lashes seem to go so well with the rest of his features.
