There was a loud shattering sound, like a glass being smashed with a blunt force, from somewhere next to Melva. She whipped her head towards the noise and she was astonished to see that the invisible wall was broken, revealing the real Maltos Forest behind it. It dawned on her that Geneva's illusion magic actually took place inside the forest itself, concealed by invisible barriers to hide them from the outside world.
Geneva merely altered the space and made it appear what she wished for her to see. She wondered whether Rosina, who was doing her clairvoyance magic from outside the forest for everyone to see, was able to see through the barrier. But she doubted that was the case because Geneva seemed like a competent witch who would not make such foolish mistakes.
