Chapter 3
I feel like I shouldn't have dreams very often now.
When I woke up, I was in my bed in my house but didn't know how I got there. I looked around and saw everything was the same. Then Hazel appeared in my room.
"Thank god you're awake. I was getting worried. How are you feeling?" She answered.
"I feel ok, just a little nauseated," I replied. She gave me an understanding nod and put a wet cloth on my head.
I felt so elated at that moment even though I had just been stabbed. I gazed at my shoulder and saw that it was all stitched up and plastered. I looked at Hazel and she gave me a mutual smile.
"So how did we get here and how did you fix my shoulder?" I asked.
"So when you fainted I didn't know what to do so I grabbed the keys from your jacket and brought you here because your mom is a doctor and probably had the equipment needed to treat your arm and your arm was done by me and lots of videos about first aid" She replied.
I looked at her and could sense that she was hiding something but I didn't know what.
I knelt up and drained a glass of water by my bed. I looked at the clock and spotted that it was just past 6 pm. I looked out the window and everything was dark.
"Hey, I think you should sleep here tonight. It's kinda late and you wouldn't want to see any weirdos at this time" I said in an innocent voice.
She smiled at me and answered, "Sure that's cool I'll just text my mom and tell her I'm staying at a friend's."
I just wanted to scream inside. What the hell? Hazel was staying at my house. I know that sounds weird but to me, it sounded perfectly alright.
After a couple of hours of watching videos and talking we decided to finally get some sleep. I brought some pillows and blankets for Hazel. She settled on sleeping by the window and wanted no disagreement.
After what felt like a couple of hours, Hazel fell asleep while my mind was still attempting to process the events that had happened today. It was like I was living someone else's life. I constantly tried to go to sleep but failed every time. I finally stopped and looked at Hazel. I felt a million emotions all inside me right now. I walked downstairs and got myself a glass of water and some chips.
Then suddenly a banging noise came from the front porch. I looked upstairs to see if it was Hazel but she was sound asleep.
I quickly ran down the stairs and grabbed a knife.
I inhaled hoping that I wasn't in a dream and carefully opened the door.
I looked to see no person in sight.
Was I hallucinating?
Then a couple of minutes later, I stopped the search and went back upstairs.
As I opened my room door a shadow appeared from behind. I tried to stay calm but I couldn't handle it.
"STAY THERE AND DON'T YOU DARE LOOK BEHIND!" A man screamed and I recognised the voice instantly. It was Alex.
The guy that whacked me on the head with a piece of dirty wood. Hasn't he had enough fun today? I brought out a wire from my pocket and out of nowhere I kicked Alex in the crouch and as he fell backwards, I got the wire and wrapped it around his neck. I started tightening it around his neck not feeling any remorse.
Then he did something unexpected...
He head-butted me which sent me backwards and as I could see again he once again smacked a metal pole on my face which sent me unconscious. This is getting a little ridiculous now.
