"Tell me why we're picking up clothes again..."
"They're not 'just clothes' Killer. We're getting our gang uniforms! Our colors! OUR PRIDE" Noah explained, a shit eating grin on his face as he led them to the Tailor's shop that Boris and Crystal had placed an order in.
It was a week after he had moved in with Eliza and Killer, Noah the 1st Branch Head, Casey the 2nd Branch Deputy and the 2nd Branch Head, Triple A were tasked with picking up the newly made gang uniforms while Boris, Last Resort, Vice and Crystal had to attend to what they called "More important gang stuff"
While they walked Killer looked at the phone he was gifted by Eliza's father.
He was grateful for it sure but he wasn't sure what to do with the phone. He never had one in his entire life and was quite confused as to what to do with it. He'll ask Eliza later.
"We're here" Triple A spoke up as they came to the entrance of a giant mall.
"Now let's go get some gang uniforms!" Noah shouted.
****************************
"What do you mean they're not here?!" Casey slammed his hands into the counter, scaring the tailor and all the people in the shop. Killer made small notes in his head as he watched his fellow gang members. Casey was obviously the hotheaded one.
"Some other group of teens came and picked them up earlier today. They claimed they were from your gang" the frightened man answered, barely managing to get the words out.
"That's bullshit. What colors were they wearing?" Triple A, the calmer of the two asked with his hands in his pockets.
Killer made another mental note. Triple was the level head.
"They were wearing black and gold. That's all I saw. I swear that's all I know!!" he replied.
"Black and gold huh. That's not a gang from around here. Those guys must be a gang from Destin. That's two and a half hours from here" Noah, who for some reason was still smiling spoke up from his position in front of a jacket stand. Noah was the....the....he was Noah.
"Then they can't have gone far. We should be able to catch up with them" Killer added while cracking his knuckles and stretching, a grin matching Noah's on his face.
"Let's go catch some robbers..." Casey growled, glared at the cashier and walked away, the rest of the gang following behind.
************************
"This is going to be fun!" Killer whooped and laughed as the wind blew through his hair and messed up the hair he had tried so hard to carefully comb.
The four of them were speeding through the streets of Tallahassee on Casey and Noah's motorcycles. And to the surprise of Killer they were from the same motorcycle gang he, Boris and Lance had fought more than 8 years ago.
"Do you think we'll catch them?!" Killer asked Triple A, who was holding unto Casey's shoulders for dear life.
"They can't be that far away. According to what the tailor said they should still be here. Just keep your eyes peeled for black and gold Harleys" Triple replied in a calm tone, though it was evident that this bike ride and Casey and Noah's reckless driving had shaken him to the core of his soul.
"I think I see them" Noah announced to them as they turned a corner that led to a neighborhood, and at the very end of that neighborhood were at least 5 black Harleys with bright gold streaks in them that could be seen from a mile away. A few yards away from the customized bikes were a group of young adults, all looking to he first years in college, surrounding a pile of parcels. One was holding lighter fluid while the other was holding a box of matches.
Any idiot could put two and two together to figure out what they were planning.
"All right guys we can do this two ways. Sneak up to them and attack with the element of surprise or charge in like-" Triple A began explaining as he hopped off the bike but was cut off by the battle cries of his three fellow Taitanzu members as they heedlessly rushed into the group of Destin gang members, managing to catch them all off guard.
Triple sighed and ran into the fray too, colliding his knee with the stomach of one of the Destin gang members, before grabbing another one by the forearm and twisting it in such an angle that the bones were certainly going to break.
Killer and Noah were fighting side by side, each of them unconsciously guarding the other's back like they had been fighting since forever, both of them giving out one hit KOs as easily as they could eat bread.
Casey looked glad to relieve some of the frustration and was ramming into and elbowing people with all his might, before picking up one of and throwing him into their bikes.
In a matter of minutes all the Destin gang members were laid out on the floor, except for Triple's batch who were still conscious but were suffering from a case of multiple broken bones.
"That was easy. That'll teach em to mess with another gang's colors" Noah happily exclaimed as he picked up the parcels containing their clothes, a smile wider than usual on his face.
"A little...too easy. What if it was a trap?" Casey asked while wiping the blood off his knuckles with a tissue he had gotten from god knows where.
"More importantly what are Destin gangs doing down here. I seriously doubt they'll take an entire 2 hour drive here just to steal our uniforms" Killer voiced his own concerns while sitting on top of his pile of victims. It was becoming a habit of his.
"You're.... you're right! Something's wrong! We have to get out of here stat!" Triple's brown eyes widened in some sort of realization as he jumped unto Casey's bike and revved it up just Noah jumped unto his own and did the same, Killer and Casey not far behind.
But before they could get going multiple revving engines could be heard and about a dozen motorcycles drove in and blocked the way out while the rest surrounded the Taitanzu Heads and Deputy.
"Well shit..." Casey hopped off the bike and took off his jacket, clearly getting ready for a round two, the rest of them following his lead and getting into their respective battle stances.
No words were exchanged between the two gangs. Just an intense stare down between the two sides.
Killer smiled, 4 on 24 did sound like an unfair fight normally but he knew that wasn't it. There were more of them coming...and he knew the others could feel it too. They had to end this battle...and fast.
In the blink of an eye, Casey and Noah were already crashing through the Destin's front lines, the friendly rivalry between the two of them as they gave scars and cracked skulls was obvious to Killer who was now punching and kicking various people in the temples, stomachs, faces and whatever painful body part he could think of, at a point even going as far biting someone.
Triple A was in a world of his own, his movements fluid and almost tranquil as he weaved in-between his multiple opponents, dropping them with well aimed attacks to their vital and pressure points rendering them useless as they lay on the floor in a heap that was steadily increasing with bodies.
As the four Taitanzu fought, more and more bikes could be heard coming, and it was evident if this kept up for much longer they were all going to be fucked.
The first wave of Destin members were inevitably defeated but the four could barely catch their breath before another group of members rode into the neighborhood, almost double the number of the ones before.
Killer and Casey were still going strong, but Triple and Noah were almost reaching their limits and the news of them losing two of Taitanzu's Branch Heads in one afternoon won't sit well with Boris at all.
As the 2nd stand off between the four and the second wave of Destin members could begin a sound could be heard.
It wasn't loud like an engine. No it was a barely noticeable sound. Like the squeak of a small wheel of some sort.
Infact that was exactly what it was.
"Heh..."Noah chuckled as he sat in the floor, his muscles relaxing much to the confusion of Killer who was getting ready to bust more heads.
Triple A and Casey were also becoming calmer while the Destin boys looked like they were about to shit their pants.
The squeaking sound came closer and closer and the other city's gang got more and more uneasy. It seemed the only person that didn't know what was happening was Killer.
But then out of an alley that nobody knew was there came a familiar face that immediately answered all of Killer's questions and sent chills down the spines of the Destin gang members.
Lance Redford. The Last Resort, was standing there on his blue and green skateboard with the letters NMT etched unto it, his dangling yellow and black earrings sparkling in the afternoon sun.
"Boris figured something like this was going to happen...so he sent me to check up on ya...." Lance calmly hopped off his skateboard and rolled up his jacket sleeves, his face unreadable as he stared into the individual souls the opposing gang members.
"You're in my city. Why?" LR asked them as he slowly approached them, almost like he was giving them time to escape. But the Destin guys knew they couldn't escape. If they stayed, The Last Resort of Tallahassee was going to kill them and if they ran, he was going to track down and THEN kill them. It was a lose-lose situation really and LR was fully aware of this.
"You have 5 seconds..."
That was all it took for them all to scram, some of them even leaving behind their bikes in a mad dash for survival, all of them screaming and asking questions along the lines of: "He wasn't supposed to be here?!" And "We didn't sign up for this shit!"
In minutes, all was quiet except for the distant sound of multiple bikes heading back for their own city.
Killer, Noah, Triple and Casey all watched in admiration as their Vice Commander stood in the glory of his own badassitude, his green hair swaying lightly in the wind.
"Hm..." He walked over to a nearby trash can and kicked it about three feet, lifting off the ground and launching it into a wall, a muffled scream came from the newly crushed can as it hit the ground.
LR walked over to the trash can and yanked out a small boy, no older than 14, a bruise was forming on his arm, already turning a dark blue.
"What the hell were you doing in there? And why'd the Destin Destroyers (lame name I know kill yourselves) storm our city?!" Casey asked him, the frustration with everything could clearly be heard in his voice.
"They used the clothes as bait to get your Branch Heads out here. They planned on... getting rid of the competition before Brawlhalla. That's all they told me I swear!!!" The boy squirmed under the intense stares of the Taitanzu members. Being held in the grip of the monster called Lance didn't make things any easier for him.
"But first..." Noah dug through the boys pockets and pulled out a small camera. "I should better take this. Who knows what he has gotten on us with this thing" Noah chuckled lightly as he crushed the device in his fist, dropping the multiple bits and circuits on the floor.
"How did you know?"
"Please. As the scout of Taitanzu. I've learnt and seen things even LR hasn't..." he chuckled again and high-fived Killer and Triple A who had been watching all the events unfold with the utmost interest.
"Tell this to your leaders..." LR dropped the boy and leaned in close to him, an eerie and dangerous smile on his face.
"The next time I see any of his gang members in this district....I'll be coming. And it won't be funny"
Killer felt a small chill run down his own spine.
He knew that Last Resort meant it.
