At the same time, the vampire kingpin yelled to Greg to get a bouncer and that he wanted me out of here. I continued to dance toward the stage, doing hip drops to the left and right with each step I took, in time with the music.
"This is going to get good." I whispered to myself as I shimmied.
As the song got to a particularly sultry part, I danced my way up the stages' stairs with as much sass as I could. By this time, my audience had fully woken up from their state of shock. I had already gotten a few whistles and a cat call.
As I reached the last step and stood on the stage, I faced them and paused in a pose. With my right hand on my right hip and my left hand placed along the jawline on the left side of my face. My face was tilted to the left and upwards. I smiled and winked at them.
There were some cheers, clapping and whistles heard around from different parts of the club. A male voice let out a whoop as I held out my arms elegantly and used them to frame my perfectly executed hip circles. Leaving my arms as they were, I transitioned from the basic hip circles to figure eights.
I observed my thoughts and it amused me because I knew this song so well, that my brain was spitting out dance instructions for me in a very computer like fashion.
It was like it was trying to tell me where to drive- left, right, left. But of course, this was dance, so it was more like- 8 figure eights, leading left hip, 8 figure eights, leading right hip, use figure eights, leading left hip to get as low to the floor as possible, switch, use figure eights leading right hip to get back up again.
I take leave of my internal world. Now is not a time to be focused inward.
I take notice of the bouncer. He has finally almost reached the stage. By now I notice that I have the entire audience in the palm of my hand. I give my audience my best smile as I lean first forwards, then backwards, then forwards again, all the while shimmying my shoulders and making my chest bounce.
By the time the bouncer broke free from the crowd, ran up the stairs and reached the stage, I had done camel a couple of times to the left to gain some physical distance, purposely turning my back to him and did a couple of undulations. I don't think he knows I have a battle plan.
I have some rules in my life. One of which is that when it comes to physical fights, I am not allowed to start them. Another is that, if I am forced to fight, I can only exert the minimum force required. On all other occasions, I must find some other solution, to get the situation under control.
So, needless to say, I have to go easy on this vampire bouncer. What he is doing isn't personal, he was told to go get me. He is only doing his job and is being forced into this situation by the kingpin vampire.
I actually feel bad for him. I feel it like it would be some unknown circle of hell to have to work for that man.
As I continue to dance, I hear his footsteps get closer.
"Let's go!" he demands as he puts his hand on my right shoulder.
I cringe. I don't even say a word. I let my shoulders stoop, and my body crumple in a bit. I feel him take the bait as his grip on my shoulder becomes firmer and the rest of his body relaxed a bit.
In the span of five seconds, I make my move. Because he is unsuspecting (non- resistive), it is easier for me as I reach up with my arms, get a good grip on the arm in contact with my shoulder. At the same time, I tighten my core muscles and use my leg strength to help me in flipping him over my shoulder.
I believe he was stunned to be standing behind me with his hand on my shoulder one second, then flying over that shoulder, hitting the stage, and lying on his back the next second looking up at me as I stood above his head.
Surprise turned to something angry and ugly. I gathered that he was embarrassed and felt that I had insulted his manhood. He was supposed to be a strong manly bouncer, not someone that a five foot two, petite girl of 160 pounds could easily toss over her shoulder and manhandle.
"You are dead!" he says in an angry voice. His words sound like they are dripping with venom.
He starts to sit up and pick himself up off the floor. I reach out my right hand towards him. I use magic to encase him in a block of ice. He continues to yell angry and mean things at me. So I allow the ice to continue its journey up his neck to cover his mouth.
As I turn away from my new ice sculpture, I face my audience and do a curtsey. The crowd explodes with clapping, shouts, whistles, cat calls and cheers.
Focusing all my attention on hearing the music above their excitement, my brain quickly registers exactly what part the song is at. It seems that the whole diversion only took 30 seconds. With only about a minute left in the song, I begin to dance again. I do my best to make the most of what little time I had left, by busting out my best power combos in my dance move inventory.
Two more male vampires bust out of the front of the audience. My best guess would be that they were the remaining two bouncers.
"Greg did say there were three bouncers here tonight." I thought to myself. "I hadn't even seen the mafia kingpin call for these two. Well played, sir, but I am not done yet!"
I danced and they jumped from the floor and landed on the stage.
"So much for the stairs" I mumbled.
The one on the left ran at me and I froze him mid stride. Of course, he had a bad mouth on him, as well, so I let the ice engulf his lips too.
I then turned to the last bouncer. He looked conflicted. It was like he wanted to do his job but at the same time didn't think he got paid enough for crap like this.
I froze him, but not exactly in the same way as the others. I didn't think he had done anything to lose him his freedom of speech privileges.
I finished my last twenty seconds of dancing by striking a pose while the last few musical notes faded away. The cheers and claps for me from the crowd were twice as loud and boisterous as they had been the previous time. I smiled and gave them a curtsy. I waved at them as I made my way down the stairs.
