It was nearing end of second day. Players were trickling back to village. So the makeshift marketplace near village square turned more and more crowded. All wanted to unwind, sell unnecessary or money making items, listen to the sound of coins in their purses and go to sleep in warehouse with smile on their faces.
The guilds occupied prominent portions and had big 'shops'- mainly selling items but occasionally purchasing or bartering the items. They had presence, I mean literally. They had few strong looking, ferocious type of warriors as bouncers. Who would fight with them. Granted, all players had protection within the village, but tangling with guilds for a single item- it would be crazy.
The shops showed merchandise very well too. This was also a type of advertising. 'See here, see how many items we have collected in such a short time and these are so useless that we are selling it to others.' This was the impression they wanted to give and it worked most of the times.

"Woah! Did you see those weapons Ouroboros guild was selling? How I wish I had money to buy one among them? I am still repairing my level 2 trashy sword. IF they are selling here, doesn't that mean, they consider it beneath their levels? Do you think all the members of Ouroboros have better weapons than these?"
"Well obviously. Ouroboros is well known and respected guild with many years of history. My cousin's girlfriend's brother was a member of that guild. He once sent the screenshot of items available in the guild warehouse. There were so many that I literally fainted. The guilds will always look after their own."
"Hey! Can you introduce me to your cousin's girlfriends' brother? Maybe I will get a chance to join the guild. If I try now, I may have the chance as the options of the guilds are less in novice villages. Once we leave this place, the guilds can connect with its previous members and joining will be definitely very difficult."
"Difficult? Try almost impossible unless you are a great player. I will consider myself lucky if I join one of its sub-guilds. And you, stop cosing me up? Where is your brain? Do you think If I had access to such golden thigh, I would be roaming around with you people?"

"Hmph! People have eyes but can't see. They just see a pile of weapons and consider the guild is great. Are they even fit to be mentioned in terms of guild strength? Our 'Domination' guild is way better than those hypocrites. Atleast, we don't cause ruckus and threaten normal guildless people to sell the items and weapons dirt cheap. Did you see, Just few minutes back, one of our Vice masters Jerome saved few people being bullied by so-called elite guilds?"
"What happened?"
"One of those party people was lucky. He got Uncommon equipment of level 4 or 5. Somehow one of the so called elite in one of the "famous" guild got hold of the news. So he started pestering that man to give the weapon for pittance, which of course, was very wrong. So Jerome, one of our Vice masters, decided to intervene and helped that man. We, of 'Apocalypse guild' will always work for fair gaming unlike others who just want to make money."

"Pretty sister, pretty sister, from where did you get that necklace? It's so beautiful."
"I know. It's very charming, right? Of course, my hubby fought so hard and long for it. Only then, he got this one."
"Of course, sister. It looks like its made just for you. That's why I did not ask you to sell it to me. So please sister, let me know , where d id you get it from? please...please"
"Shh! Don't let others know. Come closer, I'll tell you the 'shop' from where my hubby found this necklace. Don't let others know. If more people go in, the seller may just bump up the rate."

"Steal deal! Steal deal! Level five arm guard sale! Steal deal! Buy more, pay less! Steal deal!"
"Hey! Do you know why he hasn't sold his arm guard yet? Is the price that high?"
"It was initially, yeah."
"That's what I thought. When he put down his shop and started selling, there were so many players around him. Did he think, just because there were many, he could hike the price? Serves him right."
"That's not the matter. The problem is the design and smell of the guard. It's horrible. Can't you see, there are no sellers around him. Whoever sat there to sell items would get fed up with smell and run off."

"Selling Grey Wolf pelt! Grey wolf pelt! its wonderful to make cape and other clothing! Ladies, pay attention! Pay attention! Buy these pelts and turn them into clothing! Not only will you be warm, you will look chic and gorgeous. Selling Grey Wolf Pelts!"
"Hubby! Look at this pelt. Don't you think I'll look good with a cap or cloak or even a cape made from this? Buy this for me ....please....."
The hubby in question was cursing the seller and his ancestors for eighteen generations. The treacherous seller had changed his tune soon after his girl had looked in this direction

There were lot many people selling all sorts of items. Not just in market, in local chat room too. Heck, there was separate chat option called market place for those who could not get a space near village square or to those who did not know how to sell items.
Nia searched everywhere in the market- by the village square and in chatroom. No one , not even a single person was selling potions.
Nia chose one corner, placed a placard. It was filled with bright read and shocking blue colors. You have to know that the gaming company would find chance to make money at every occasion. Placards, banners were rented. But you you to buy white chalk or colored chalks. Buying meant more money than renting. Unlike Placards and banners, chalks were considered consumables, thus their rates were higher. Thus very few had chosen colors in their placard or banner.
