Authors Note: I apologize for the strange way this chapter was uploaded. To clarify what has happened here, the part of this chapter I uploaded yesterday was taken down and replaced with this which is the entire chapter now fixed and hopefully good.
(So the beginning part of this chapter was the one you read yesterday but with a few tweaks)
After exploring the humongous academy Lilia and I parted ways and went to the dorms, the dorms are generally separated gender. There are some exceptions like if you are part of certain clubs or activities but those didn't apply to me.
I was placed in dorms 1-M. A rather simple naming scheme but there's no reason to make it any more complicated. I went up to my room and opened the door with my key. Inside there were two single beds, one on each side of the room. Each had a small dresser and nightstand next to them. The dorm also had its own bathroom and closet.
It was obvious that my roommate had already come to claim his side of the room. On the right side of the room, there were new comforters and pillows on the bed, along with posters of the elven lances hung on the wall. What was he a child? Wait, we are twelve, never mind.
I looked around to see if they were still there and upon seeing they weren't I just went to unpack my things on the left side of the room. I didn't have much to personalize my side of the room like my roommate did. Besides clothing and books, everything I needed was in my dimension ring.
Before long my roommate walks in through the door in a rather flashy way. Looking at him he had long blonde hair and pointed ears. He looks at me, inspecting me up and down. "Good, you're finally here. It's great to meet you, might I ask your name?"
"I'm Arthur Bladeheart, it's nice to meet you as well. What's your name?"
"I'm Feyrith Ivsaar III, but Feyrith is fine," he says as he extends his hand out for a handshake.
After that, we talked for a while and became friends. I did come up with a nickname for him calling him Fey Fey but he didn't like that. Still though when he learned that I was a decently skilled 'conjurer' he immediately made me his rival.
Things were going great until the dreaded knock on the door came, I got up and answered it to see it was Director Goodsky. Knowing she was here because she had some kind of plan or deal of some kind to make with me I let out a deep sigh.
"Is my presence that much of a bother to you, Arthur?" She asks.
"No, sit down here. What brings you here?" I ask as she walks in, I close the door behind her and she sits down on a chair.
"I'm here about your request to take more upper classes, I'll let you take them," she says.
"And what do you get out of it?" I ask, Feyrith is shocked to see me and the director speaking so casually he nearly dies when I accuse her of having intentions behind a gift.
"Well as your roommate already knows I am in the process of forming a discipline committee to help monitor students and maintain peace between all the students. I'm here to ask you to join them in return for being able to take upper classes."
I sigh once again, I didn't want to take a big role in this school other than being a student. But if it meant taking the classes I wanted to take I would do it. "Fine, but I want access to books on deviant magic in the library. When I had visited earlier they wouldn't let me access them because I was an underclassman."
"You're already taking upper classes so I don't see why not. Since you agreed to join the DC members I will take my leave."

Soon came the day of the first meeting of the disciplinary committee, I and Feyrith had to get up a few hours early before the classes started to attend the meeting on time. We both got ready in our new uniforms which were dropped off by the director's assistant along with my new schedule including my new afternoon classes. We headed down to the back of the auditorium.
When we arrived we were met with an unexpected greeting. We opened the door and suddenly a loud roar was blasted at us spitting out saliva on our faces. Feyrith had gotten startled and ducked, dodging most of the saliva out of coincidence. My dumbass though didn't move, I didn't expect to be spat on so I had just stood there staring at the mana beast.
I wiped the spit off my face and I began to pet the snout of the mana beast in front of me. When it had begun to back away and cleared the path for me and Feyrith to pass.
"Whoa. He wasn't surprised at all..." standing across the room was a student who looked a couple of years older than me, he had dull light gray hair with an expression on his face that seemed like he was mocking us.
"You two are the last DC officers to arrive. My name is Kai Crestless; I'm a fourth-year here."
"Crestless huh, do you perhaps have a sibling, a sister rather?" I ask.
He looks at me for a moment looking at me up and down, "I have a cousin who attends this school if you're talking about her." he says smiling before walking closer to extend his hand out for a handshake.
I take his hand and shake it accepting the greeting, "My name is Arthur Bladeheart, and yeah I had met her yesterday, she was confused about where the dorms were and asked me."
"Strange, she is really shy around new people, she doesn't really talk to people she doesn't know that well," he says.
From across the room, another person walked in from another side room, "Bah! Another delicate pretty boy! Why aren't there more real men on this committee?" I looked around and spotted her standing by the other doorway, she was a female dwarf a little over half of my height.
She walks over to me and introduces herself, "I'm Doradrea Oreguard, I had heard you introduce yourself earlier, so there's another Bladeheart here?"
"Another?" I ask.
"Oh, you haven't heard, come on, I'll introduce you to the others." Doradrea grabs my arm and tugs me across the room. She pushes open the doors violently, it made me worry about the life of those doors in the future.
She had dragged me into the other room where I met the other DC officers. Feyrith soon caught up after speaking to Kai for a short while. In the room, there were four people.
A mahogany-haired boy turned to see who had burst into the room and saw me being violently dragged by Doradrea. "Oh hey Arthur, your part of the Disciplinary Committee too?" Curtis says both surprised and happy to see me again.
Two others had also recognized me while the last remaining one, a tall black-haired boy didn't.
I had only recognized princess Kathyln, she looked like she wanted to speak to me, she began to take a step forward before Curtis walked towards me.
Claire Bladeheart P.O.V.
When they had walked into the room I immediately recognized them. Note, a masked adventurer my uncle greatly supported.
I had learned his true identity when I saw his real appearance under his mask. It wasn't hard to make the connection between Note and the boy my Uncle had trained, especially when I learned that he awakened early. I don't know how early though but even awakening at ten for a human is early.
Note was Arthur Leywin, I knew that for sure. I didn't plan to tell anyone this secret, I had no reason to.
I see Doradrea interrupt Arthur and Curtis's conversation, "Hey Arthur, she's the one I was telling you about. Are you related to her or something?" Doradrea says while pointing at me.
Curtis and Kathyln were visibly confused by this, "What do you mean Doradrea?" Curtis asks.
"Well, these two have the same last name, Bladeheart. I was just wondering how they were related." Doradrea says. I now remember what my Uncle had told me through my letter, that he had let Arthur use the Bladehear surname whenever he needed. To think he would use it here.
"Doradrea what do you mean? Arthur's last name is Ley-" Curtis is cut off when Arthur pulls out a necklace with the Bladeheart family symbol on it. Looking at their reactions Curtis was confused, while Kathyln looked a bit worried.
Arthur finally speaks up to clear up the situation, "The Bladeheart family has helped sponsor me so I can get into this academy. Under the agreement, I use their surname." (Lie)
Just as people were starting to understand things the clearly pissed-off Theodore yells at us saying we are gonna be late for the introduction ceremony.
"Right, ok everyone gets ready as we walk out onto the auditorium stage," I say.
Arthur Leywin P.O.V.
Following Claire and the rest, we stood in a line in front of the upperclassmen down to the first years, which consisted of Feyfey, Kathyln, and me. We waited behind the stage for the current Student Council president to call us onto the stage.
From where we stood we could all see the Student Council President make their announcement. I was still confused about their pink hair and eyes but just ignored it for now. I paid attention to her speech, she appeared rather good at it. I had only just recently learned that she was also a first-year student. It had shocked me to think that the current student council president was a first-year like Feyfey or Kathyln.
The student council president finished her speech with these last words, "Please join me in welcoming the disciplinary committee." After announcing us we began walking up on stage while she walked off.
While passing her I noticed her looking right at me, and when I noticed she began to smirk confidently. It was only for a split second as we both passed each other and lost sight of one another.
We were led up to the stage by Claire and Curtis, the auditorium was filled with applause as we took our positions on stage. Claire separated from our line and stepped up to the podium on stage. She then gave a speech about the purpose of the Disciplinary Committee.

The next day I began going to classes, most of my early morning classes were uneventful or straight-up useless to me. I had gotten lots of attention from my different uniform than everyone else.
"Hey, isn't that one of the DC officers?"
"How did a first-year become a DC officer?"
"They are a Bladeheart, like the leader. They are probably both really strong."
Murmurs and rumors spread around the class when I entered the class. I had walked into my Practical Mana Manipulation class, looking around the room I decided to sit down in the middle of the room.
Looking around the room the layout was a bit strange, the front of the room where the teacher would be sat in a decently sized battle arena. My guess was so the teacher could have the students practice spells or for the teacher to demonstrate a spell in front of the class.
"May I sit here?" a quiet voice asks from my right, I had nearly jumped out of my seat because I hadn't heard them coming.
Looking over I see it was Kathyln who had asked me, "Sure, I don't see why not." upon hearing my response she sits down next to me.
"It's been a while since we saw each other huh, sorry for not talking to you back at the first meeting, so much was going on."
"It's fine, my brother has grown to see you as a good friend so it's understandable that he wanted to speak to you a lot." She says.
A few minutes before class starts Feyrith shows up and after seeing me he sits down to my left. "Hello my rival, your precious roommate happens to share this class with you." He looks over to Kathyln, "Oh hello Princess Kathyln,"
A man who looks to be in his twenties walks into the room, my assumptions were proven correct when he introduces himself as the Professor. "Although it's a bit late, Good morning class!" he announces to the entire class with an upbeat attitude. "Well, we have quite the crowd of students. I knew my class would be popular but I'm honored to have this many students."
