A group of men walked through the forest after hours of not knowing where captain Buckie, chief Philippe and his son all disappeared to. The search party split into groups and took different paths.
The third group had been searching the most and putting more than enough efforts when the others stopped to take breaks.
They cut through vines, and anything that got in their way as they all progressed in search of the three missing people. For a moment, they heard a mournful but murderous howl, followed by a brief tumult in the ground. It was a strange experience, but they assumed it wasn't a big issue, and carried on with their search.
Soon, they gasped in astonishment at the clarity of the sleek sapphire waterfall they came across. It was spurting over the basalt rock, spilling eel-like over the ledges and making a vast splash upon the level surface below. They could see a gaggle of geese grazing by the bank and the scene was picture perfect, one of the most breathtaking ever seen.
A naked body of a woman came into view and the men let out a mighty roar in excitement as they watched the water run down her delicate olive skin.
"Who is she?"
"What's a woman doing out here?"
"I don't see wolf-like ears on top of her head."
The continuous murmur of the dense horde of men nearby irritated the woman bathing and she whispered to herself "How I hungered and thirst for this river, to see it shimmer in the sunlight; to hear the soft lap of water on the bedrocks, and the distant murmur of birds in trees. And now, these disgusting humans want to ruin my peace."
"It seems like a witch?"
"Who or what she is does not matter to me! All I want to do is have sex with that body!"
"What about we take turns and then kill her?"
"I agree. We can't let such a beauty go without tasting her."
They cheered like lustful maniacs as their perverted eyes followed the woman's swaying figure with an eager gaze till admonished by the flame that crept toward her fingertips.
She approached the puzzled men, completely naked, and they looked at the smooth, hairless skin of her athletic body, completely undermining her strength.
"What are you?" One man asked, and through her wry smile that showed her oyster white teeth, she said "You will find out very soon."
She shook her finger at the crowd and playfully screamed, "Bang! Bang!! Bang!!!" She gave out a short laugh after her odd words. With her venus-red fingernails filed to perfection, she ran them through her wet, nougat-brown hair. Spools of it plunged around her round face and hid a shapely neck, elegant and smooth.
The men looked at each other in confusion, but amidst the circle, a man stood out, saliva pooling in his mouth as his hand cupped his groin. "Let's screw this bitch already!!!"
He ran forward, and she slowly raised her finger and said, "Bang."
She burned half of the human men to crisps, leaving the scent of burnt flesh lingering in the air. The atmosphere became placid, almost silent as the remaining humans slowly backed away, their worst fear being confirmed.
"What's wrong? I thought you all wanted to take turns? So who is next?" She laughed, a feeble, bitter laugh; a shrill, cackling laugh that shocked their dimming senses.
They whimpered, body shaking as their eyes transfixed with horror. But before they could even move a muscle, or try to escape, she burnt away the last humans with a simple snap of her fingertips.
She blew out the last of the flames on her finger and was left with whiffs of smoke emerging out.
She found the whole place wonderfully quiet but was sad that she burned the ground that was previously bespangled with thousands of beautiful flowers along with the humans and now the remains were part of the ashes on the ground;
"Stupid humans," she cussed, crossing her arms.
Grazob straightened up with a jerk and scanned the smoking peak. He appeared mysteriously at the site and was surprised by how much damage her flames had caused. The witch was recently recruited to join the king's army, and she definitely was worth it.
"Have you been here all along?" She knew Grazob had learnt a few magic tricks and assumed he used his invincibility spell.
"I teleported. I hope you weren't thinking I was watching you the whole time because—"
"I just asked you a simple question and please look away… those that look too long at my naked body don't live after" her voice was soft, yet her words were laced with threats.
Grazob quickly looked away while she dressed and used the chance to apologize for appearing at the wrong time.
"Miss Adora, am I forgiven?"
Adora wasn't interested in what was in the past. She was taking his words for the truth, since she heard from people that knew him as an honest man, not the best in morals but just sincerity.
"Whatever," she said, rolling her eyes and adjusting the blue cloak she put on.
"I'm sure you must've heard the lord's howl. It's time to attack the humans."
Grazob grabbed his mace with his heavy metal hand prosthesis then smirked "Yes, we'll obliterate every human in sight."
