Three years later…
Veronica looked around and saw the piled up corpses of her former comrades. She breathed harshly as she switched her gaze to the blood red sky full of crows soaring high.
"You…" The werewolf beast reached for her with its large hands and she screamed.
"Don't hurt me… please don't hurt me. Please…" Veronica was having a bad dream again. Her first encounter with Lucilfer was traumatic. She always had haunting nightmares and sleepless nights of the werewolves and it seemed never ending.
A lump formed in her throat and her stomach churned as she heard the rusty metallic grinds of the cell gate. Few minutes later, Veronica was doused with ice cold water by the assistant madam of the academy for the fifth time that week. Her bed was covered in the aftermath of the water, and so was her nightwear.
"Get up you stupid girls!!!" The woman commanded and all the girls followed the order robotically and saluted the woman.
The madame stared down at Veronica before hissing "You better not misbehave today. Or else…" The madam's whip appeared from thin air and dropped into her hands "I'll beat the living daylight out of you. Is that clear?" She threatened.
"Yes madam!" Veronica said at the top of her voice, shivering from fear and also because she was cold.
It was just three am but also time for their early morning routine. Cleaning the stables, mowing the lawn, cleaning the doll house including the several madame's rooms. Washing dishes, washing the madame's clothes, feeding the animals, farming and arranging the storehouse, dance practice, prayers, singing practice, speech examination, personality check, mannequin tests, weight check, grooming, and their meal time would be thoroughly discussed upon by the maidens, whether or not they would be fed that day.
For the past three years Veronica had been a slave, physically and mentally abused by the witches in charge.
The things she had seen, she wishes she'll forget. So many girls her age and younger were sold to werewolves, some were killed, some disappeared and never came.
It was a horrific experience, enough to drive her weak mind to Suicide but the thought of her mom still kept her alive. Now, all she wonders is for how long?
The human girls scurried to start their work, dividing themselves in groups to make it faster. There were a total of 48 for the meantime, any of them could die at any second of the day from the over labor.
The doll house was the least rated because it had bad reviews from past customers and barely anyone ever came to purchase dolls from it.
Because of that, the seven madames didn't bother to cater for the girls anymore. The monthly allocation that the government issued to every doll house across the capital was pocketed by the selfish witches in charge of Zaria Dollhouse nine.
The female dolls weren't supposed to be overlaboured but the madames did whatever they wanted anyway because no one ever came to check them.
"Isabella" Veronica called out as she noticed her friend barely being able to carry the heavy sac full of beans into the storehouse that was hundreds of feet away. Veronica ran to her aid as fast as she could but her friend gave up and fell, causing the sac to cut open.
"Oh no!" The girl reacted and quickly got a lash on her back.
"You bastard!" the youngest and most self entitled madam yelled before kicking at the girl that was now so fragile like a glass. The girl balled up on the ground as the madam rained kicks all over her body and everyone else watched in fear. Isabella was the youngest and that made it easy for the little madame to pick on her.
"Leave her alone!" Veronica screamed, grabbing hold of the thorny whip before the 13 year old maiden put in charge of farming duties could lash at Isabella again.
"Veronica…" Isabella spelled out softly. Her friend's name could barely escape her chapped lips that wavered as she fought back her stinging tears.
Veronica didn't falter. If there was something she didn't fear, it was madame Tulips. Tulips' powers hadn't manifested yet, so all she had were her words and her mother's whip.
"You stupid bitch! Wait till mummy finds out."
"No, don't tell madam Giselle!" Isabella begged.
"Don't worry Isabella. Let her go" Veronica smiled, helping her friend up.
"Did you get hurt from the fall? Are you wounded anywhere?"
In the two doll's distraction, Tulips escaped. Everyone knew how it was going to end, Veronica included. She had taken more damage than anyone else in the dollhouse, and many times because she was standing up for the girls she considered her sisters.
"Veronica" Madam Giselle, a bloodthirsty maniac stood before Veronica after forming from a small whirling wind. Her built body towered over Veronica as she kept growing in size, getting ready to pounce on the girl
"How dare you hit my daughter!!!"
