Pearl's POV
I had no idea how I had managed to convince the strange-looking guy to escape with me, but it wasn't something we were meant to do right away.
However, a thought occurred to me the moment I walked out the door to see an empty hallway with several closed doors.
"One of these doors must be the one leading out of here," a small voice whispered in my head and I just couldn't ignore it as I immediately walked past him where he stood I'm outside the door looking quite unsure about where would-be leading us back to where the rest had gone.
I didn't say anything to him as the only thing that ran through my mind was how excited I was to actually turn the door knob, hoping with everything I held dear that one of these doors would turn out to be the portal that young girl heard spoken of.
