Third Person POV,
Drake heard what his sister had said but he didn't give any retorts to that.
He stayed back in his room for a while, thinking back to what was going on when a slight knock on his door pulled him off his thoughts.
"Sir, I pushed back your meetings to hold tomorrow, and I told Mr and Mrs Miguel that you had to go on an impromptu business trip and you couldn't be at the launching event," his PA Garry spoke after walking into the room.
"Good thinking, " Drake praised him and that made Garry feel a little proud of himself for earning praise from a person who rarely ever acknowledges one's efforts.
"What are my schedules for tomorrow?" He asked getting up from where he was seated and walking over to his mirror to check out himself.
"You have the contract signing with the CEO of centre Co, and you also made a reservation for Miss Jade's birthday by 7 pm at Spikes," Garry informed like he had been waiting with that information in his head and waiting for the questions to be asked.
"Cancel the contract signing until Monday, and park a few casual clothes for me I'm going on a trip by the weekend," Drake said and Garry nodded quickly and went into the walk in closet and started to park some clothes.
Garry knew when Drake asks for something to get done, then he wants them to be done as soon as he gave out the instructions unless you want to receive his signature glare that could literally make anyone pee themselves.
Drake had gone out of his room, leaving his PA back to park his bags. He walked through the hallways with his hands in the pocket of his joggers and any maid that was working in the hallways would fearfully bow their heads before he comes closer to where they were standing.
News had already travelled around about what he had done to the maid, and that instilled fear in the hearts of the maids and even some of the male workers too, but no one could do anything about it.
The pay they receive was so much that they couldn't leave the work even if they wanted to. Plus they get to do many work benefits that they could never get elsewhere and they need that money to look after their families, one of the reasons why they all agreed to sign a ridiculous contract in the first place.
Drake didn't seem to care that he instilled fear in the poor helpless worker's mind, all he cared about was the fact that they would do whatever he wanted and that's all that matters to him.
He walked into the living room a few seconds later, looking around and hoping to find his baby sister down there, but she wasn't in there.
"You," he said in a rough voice startling the maid that was cleaning the spot close to the tv screen.
The maid dropped the rag she was holding unknowingly the moment she heard him call her name and that made a frown set upon Drake's face but the maid was too scared to even look up at his face so she had no idea he was frowning at her clumsy behaviour.
"Where is Jade?" He proceeded to ask ignoring her clumsy act before he looses his shit one more time.
"She didn't come down here," the maid answered in a slowly shaky voice and Drake stared at her for a while before turning to go back up the stairs.
She's probably in her former room, he thought to himself as he made his way up to the chamber where his sister's room used to be before she got married.
Drake was walking over to the place when he heard a deafening ringing in his head making him stop for a second as he tilt his head slightly to the side his, eyes shut tightly and he had to hold the wall close to him for support.
The ringing lasted for about a few seconds, but those seconds were the most excruciating few seconds of Drake's life.
When the ringing stopped, a frown made its way up Drake's face as if he had just seen some upsetting image in his head and he was wondering what that was.
He was standing still for a while until Jade came out of her former room to see him leaned against the wall and doing nothing.
"Why are you standing around? You could have come in," she said closing the door behind her but Drake was quiet. He didn't respond to what she was saying because he looked as if he was confused about something.
"Are you okay?" Jade said worriedly walking over to where her brother was standing.
He was quiet for a few more seconds trying to get a hold of the situation before he spoke and told her he was fine.
He didn't tell her about the ringing feeling he just felt in his head just so she wouldn't be worried about his health and insist he goes to the hospital.
"Are you still scared of going into my room? It's been three years Drake," Jade said slowly.
She knew how uncomfortable it makes him to be in her room because they were always in there with their mom and having some kind of fun almost all the time.
She didn't know Drake had learned to be okay with the feeling of being in there.
That place had actually become his place of solace because he would go in there whenever he was feeling lonely or down. It was the only place that had the most of their memories together and although at first he wasn't okay with it at first he later realized that place was all he had left of his parents.
"You think I'm like you?" He said with a snort and that made Jade smile because she was happy that he was finally okay about their parent's death.
Jade had been the first to accept the loss of their parents and she knew how hard it had been for her brother to accept the fact that they were gone and would never return because he had been blaming himself for what happened to them.
They both walked back to the living room together. Jade was wearing different clothing from the one that had a juice stain on it.
"I didn't know those clothes would still fit," she said as she walked down the stairs and that made Drake stare at her with a straight face.
"What? Why are you looking at me that way?" She asked with an innocent smile as her hands instinctively wrapped themselves around her tiny bump that was barely visible.
"You just got married like what? Five months ago? Why won't your clothes fit you?" Drake asked with a slight frown on his face.
Jade only smiled. Although she couldn't wait to tell him the news, she wasn't sure how he was going to react to the news of her being pregnant because he didn't take the news of her getting married quite well.
And knowing the fact that he hates the guts of her husband, she's sure he would react terribly to the news of her having his baby so she waited until they were seated before deciding to tell him since she didn't want the same thing that happened about 6months ago when she told him she was getting married to repeat itself.
