Chapter 24 - Gu Liao’s Warning

The ungrateful person saw more and more articles cursing Qin Zhen on the Internet. The person quietly collected them and anonymously posted them on Qin Zhen's account.

"My dear second aunt, I hope you can bear it. You know, this is just the beginning."

When Gu Liao returned to his room, Xie Ru had already woken up and was sitting on the bed in a daze.

"I have to make a trip to the company later."

"Okay."

Xie Ru saw Gu Liao open his mouth but did not say anything in the end.

"Young Madam, Young Master Bai is here to take a look at your eyes."

Xie Ru suddenly tightened her grip on her white cane. Could it be that Gu Liao already suspected her?

"Sorry to trouble you, Young Master Bai."

"It's no trouble. Young Madam, please. Let's go to a brighter place so that I can have a better look."

Xie Ru sat upright on the stool. When Bai Yunhua asked a question, she would answer. She acted as a real patient fully. Meanwhile, Bai Yunhua would write and draw on a piece of paper during the examination. By the end of it, Xie Ru was so bored that she actually wanted to sleep.

"Uncle, what brings you here?"

"Nephew, no matter what, we are a family. Don't do things too ruthlessly. Otherwise, none of us will look good in the end."

"I don't understand. What is Uncle talking about?" asked Gu Liao, puzzled.

Uncle Gu glared and softly said, "You are still pretending but our hearts are like mirrors. Nothing happened to Xie Ru and Young Master Bai. Let's just let things end here, or do you really want us to fall out?"

Only then did Gu Liao realize that it was about what happened last time at the old mansion. However, he hadn't been thinking about it since. Who could be the culprit then? Could it be Xie Ru?

"It's not Uncle's fault, right? Could it be then that you've been having a bad time recently? Listen to my advice and do a good deed properly. And be careful that someone might knock on your door in the middle of the night."

Gu Liao laughed out loud and no longer looked at Uncle Gu's ashen face. He turned around and left the Gu Corporation building.

"Did Young Madam's eyes recover for a brief moment?"

Xie Ru nodded. "I saw that person's smile in the car accident last time."

"Is it because of the car accident?"

"I don't know. It might be."

At this moment, there was a commotion outside the villa.

A person in a leather jacket and a pair of riveted boots had arrived. His small face was half-covered by black sunglasses as he gave Bai Yunhua a big hug.

"Hello, Brother Bai. Where's my brother? Did he go to the company again? The robot Gu Liao is really amazing."

"Yo, Gu Zhe, Aunt Gu actually let you come back. How strange."

Gu Zhe did not answer. Xie Ru, who was behind Bai Yunhua, was stunned for a moment.

"This must be my sister-in-law. She looks good, but unfortunately, I can't tell from her eyes."

Xie Ru really wanted to roll her eyes. This brat, Gu Liao's biological brother was really amazing. He dared to look down on her just because of his father's identity. He should take a good look at himself to see how shameful he was.

"Why do I feel like you're looking down on me? This is definitely not an illusion."

Gu Zhe's face suddenly enlarged in front of Xie Ru's eyes. It was completely different from the cold and tough aura of Gu Liao. Gu Zhe was like the sun, so his youth naturally had vitality.

"What are you guys doing?"

"Ah, the robot Gu Liao is back. Nothing happened just now. Although Sister-in-Law is very good-looking, she's not my type."

Gu Zhe's cowardly look made Xie Ru scoff. Gu Liao was not a ferocious beast.

If Gu Zhe knew this, he would definitely retort. Gu Liao was different in front of his wife. Of course, he was different from the Gu Liao they knew. This man had two faces.

"Okay, I'm not going to hit you. Why are you hiding so far away?"

"Heh, Brother, this is the wedding gift bag that Mom and Dad gave you. I wish you a happy wedding and hope you have a baby soon."

Gu Liao coughed dryly as his ears turned red. He subconsciously looked at Xie Ru. The woman lowered her head so that no one could see her face clearly. She was probably also shy.
