Bardrick's room was armed to the teeth with flowers and gift baskets. The nurses had started taking some away, to enable them walk around the room. Visiting duration was split to prevent overcrowding and stress on the patient.

His condition wasn't too good, he would have to stay in the hospital for a minimum of two more nights.

And each passing second was worse than the last, the detective was on the verge of losing his mind.

"You have a visitor." A nurse announced, popping her head through the door, to peak at him, if he were still awake.

He fought back the urge to sigh, more than thirteen unfamiliar faces had graced his presence since he was admitted. And it made his blood boil.

"What the hell happened?." Addie shot at him, speed walking into the room, his elbows pointed out.
