"You definitely weren't shitting with me, this place is a mess." Bardrick observed, walking into the house of a fairly rich family. The detective was taken aback by the address his partner sent him, but after seeing the scene that was the least of his issues.
"The woman behind this was one of my clients." Addie voiced out, rummaging through the debris scattered across the floor, sorting out the valuables from the pile of rubble.
By client, he was referring to one of the few people who employed him as personal details. For the past four months, his side hussle was guarding rich people at lavish events.
"What exactly went down here, and where is the woman?." Bardrick asked, his eyes taking in the cracks in the ceiling. {Must've been some fight.} He deduced, but Addie seemed to be unscathed.
