Chapter 5 - A Lonely Flower Gives a Chance

I strutted confidently into the school. All eyes were on me whether that was a good thing or not I couldn't care less. Before class started the principal called everyone into the Auditorium for a meeting.

"I have called you all here to address a recent event. I'm sure you've all seen of the rumours on the forum. I would like to invite Miss Fleur and Mister Collins to the stage."

We walked onto the stage and stood on either side of the principal.

"As you've noticed Miss Fleur has been absent for a month well this is because... Oh my it seems I need a drink of water"

"Here." I instinctively handed her a bottle of water.

"Thank you, child."

'I can already hear the whispers about me trying to win favour because I already know I'm in trouble.'

"Where was I? Ah yes, Her absence was due to the emotional trauma of everyone in school mistreating her. As such we decided it would be best to have her take a break."

"Whaaaaaat!?" Everyone exclaimed.

"The rumours are exactly that. Rumours. To prove her innocence I'll have these two students be close to each other for a month. No one is to interfere."

'What? No! But if I refuse I will look guilty but sister will kill me. Madam Principal is doing this for me. The least I can do is play along.' I sighed.

"So if anyone is found interfering they will be severely punished. There is no need to treat them like celebrities. They are human and have human feelings. If you can't treat them like your friends then don't talk to them at all."

'She listened to me!' I was surprised.

"Thank you that is all. You may now return to class. Please don't slander your classmates anymore."

Sometime later.

"Are you mad at me?" Draken asked.

"Obviously."

"Then let me apologise!" He frowned.

"That wouldn't change anything." I replied without looking at him.

"Please. Just listen."

"What did you do to resolve the situation while I was gone?" I asked, finally facing him.

"Well... Nothing but—"

"See. Would you forgive you if you were me?" I asked.

"Well, no."

"Exactly."

"Please just let me—"

"No." I didn't let him finish.

"Just Once! Have Lunch with me just once! If you don't like it I'll stop! Please!" His yelling drew a lot of attention if I refused I would seem like a terrible person.

"I'll go..." I pouted.

"Yes!!! I promise to make you so happy you can't refuse me anymore!" He was overjoyed.

Whispers could be heard.

"What just happened?"

"It seems Draco likes the Flower."

"Have we been misunderstanding this whole situation?"

"I mean it makes sense!"

"It does."

"Aww. We've just been getting in his way."

"Who started those rumours anyway??? They need a slap in the head."

"They were probably just jealous."

And so the general public's opinion of me changed.

Rumours of me being a bully quickly changed to that of Draken's unrequited love.

The morning went by without issue. Aside from a few deadly glares from Emily.

The lunch bell rang.

"That's the bell. Come on! We have to hurry." He ran outside excitedly while dragging me along with him.

There was a shiny black car directly across the road from us when Draken suddenly stopped.

"Wait here. I have to explain the situation to my driver."

A man came out of the car and met Draken halfway. This means that they were standing in the middle of the road which also means that they were incredibly stupid and careless.

Plus I could hear their conversation. It was a little challenging ignoring them but I got curious when my name was mentioned.

"Her name is Rose Fleur aka Rosie. We're having lunch together as I said."

"You know you shouldn't get close to people from the ATA. They are your rivals since you are part of ASAP now."

"I couldn't care less about the rivalry between Artistic Talent Agency and Agency of Artistically Sensational People."

"No don't remind me of how bad the names are. Please. Use the abbreviations." The driver complained.

"Whatever. I'm having lunch with a classmate this has nothing to do with our agencies."

"And that classmate is the most popular and most hated celebrity in the ATA!"

"So?"

"Not only is she your biggest rival she's also a terrible influence! She'll damage your reputation!" The driver continued to complain.

"If you have a problem with me say to my face. I can always leave." I said as I walked over.

"No!" Draken yelled.

"No?" I questioned.

"I did something unforgivable and betrayed your trust. I will pay you back and I will get you to forgive me!" He seemed determine.

"You sure are determined." I teased.

"Of course I am! I want to be your friend..." He was completely serious.

I blushed. I never had someone genuinely try this hard to be my friend. I just had to defend him.

"Are you really going to crush this poor boy's dreams? I mean you work for him right? Should you not support his little dreams and aim to make him happy? I mean do you not think if anyone is to do crush his dreams and make him sad, it should be me?"

The man's eye twitched, he seemed very annoyed.

He aggressively swung open his car door and spat two words, "Get in."

I went inside the vehicle.

The man then slammed the door shut. He went over to the passenger seat beside the driver seat and gently opened the door for Draken. However, Draken ignored this gesture opened the door to the back seat then sat next to me.

"!" The man was dumbfounded.

"What's with that face?" Draken asked.

"You never sit in the back and you're sitting next to..."

"Don't you dare finish that sentence," Draken ordered with a glare.

"Are you comfortable? Would you like some snacks?" He began questioning me.

"What are you? A flight attendant?" I asked jokingly.

"I can be your flight attendant."

"Sorry to break it to you but we're in a car, not a plane." I replied.

"I said that out loud!" He looked embarrassed.

"Indeed you did." I strapped in my seatbelt.

"Can you do me a favour and forget that?" He did the same.

"No. I will make sure to never forget." I commented as the car drove off.

"No! Please. I don't want to be remembered if it's like that."

"Too bad." I laughed.

"Rosie, you're mean."

"Are you just now realising that?"

"Tch." The driver had an ugly look on his face.

"Do you have a problem, Leonard?" Draken asked.

"You know the answer."

"Ignore him... Wait, earlier did you hear everything?" Draken had just thought of that possibility.

"No." I replied.

He sighed a breath of relief.

"I heard most of it though." I added.

"I'm unimaginably sorry you had to hear such words." He apologised with a bow and everything.

"...It is nothing new." I commented.

"Nothing new!?" He exclaimed.

"People can be much crueller than your friend here with their words." I explained.

"Can I get your phone?" He asked.

"Why?" I handed him my phone anyway.

"That's my number call or text me whenever you need to rant about jerks like my assistant." He smiled warmly.

"Assistant?" I questioned.

"Yeah. He's basically my personal driver though."

"I see. He doesn't seem very pleased with you saying that though."

"No trust me he's ecstatic."

"Sure." I giggled.

Ten minutes of meaningless banter passed.
