Chapter 18 - Thanked Crystal

They stayed for another night at the hospital because Ruby was worried about the twin's health. She even had them go through a full-body check-up.

Aside from that, Ruby was busy hoarding the mall to buy everything that the twins might need. Starting from clothes, shoes, bags, down to accessories.

She shut her eyes and bought whatever she liked.

Cough!

It was her first time shopping without having the need to be conscious of the price tag. It was out of the question that she went overboard.

That being said, the result was truly satisfying. Both Nine and Ten's beauty were improved and they were becoming more and more handsome.

Although the twins looked like they wore oversized clothes, as long as they were fattened up later, it would fit them perfectly.

She didn't dwell on it too much, merely appreciating the power of the male lead's DNA.

Ruby wasn't going to acknowledge Crystal's share of blood, because she was just that petty.

She barely thanked Crystal for not letting the twins inherit her personality and brain.

Ruby also didn't forget to buy a lot of skincare products, especially for kids to restore the smooth and fair skin they should have had.

Afterward, Ruby took them to get their hair done neatly and went for a brief spa.

Nine and Ten dizzily went along with Ruby since they didn't have the right to resist. However, deep down they were constantly criticizing Ruby and scolding her for being troublesome.

Nine even had the imagination that they were being groomed like a dog.

Did she adopt them out of the longing to own a pet or what?

Ten and Nine really thought so.

The spa was good, and the treatment was top-notch. Every spot of their body was soft and comfortable.

Out from the salon, the three let out a long sigh of joy laced with contentment.

This salon was definitely worth it.

If it was true that an apple doesn't fall off far from the tree, it's also true that bad influence spreads faster than a plague.

It only took two days to poison the twins' behavior.

"Uwaah~ This is the best day ever."

Ruby's eyes twinkled and curved happily. She then glanced at the twins who put a 'fed up' expression but their body followed Ruby's movement, stretching out lazily.

Ruby humphed coldly. Brats.

Ruby pondered over her next step.

Her vacation was destroyed beyond recognition and she picked up a pair of cabbage.

It was an irrefutable fact that she had no reason to stay in this city anymore. Likewise, she couldn't push forward the plan to travel around the world.

Like it or not, she had to settle down somewhere.

Ruby hesitated for a while before resolutely making up her mind to return. At least, she already had an apartment so it won't be a hassle finding another place to live.

She fished out her phone, trying to book a ticket back home.

A minute later, she froze.

Desperately covering her face, Ruby fell silent.

She stiffly questioned the twins, "Do you have a paper that could prove your identity?"

"Birth certificate or something similar..."

Her voice kept getting lower as she spoke.

Ten responded lightly, "Nope. We have nothing at all."

Ruby's eyelids twitched.

How am I supposed to register you under my name?

How can I get you to enroll in school?

Could you tell me how?!

Ruby who lived and died by herself was at a loss of what to do.

Should she report it to the police and say they were missing children and then she wants to adopt them and, and..

F***. There was no end to this problem.

Ruby couldn't possibly wait for the police to process it. There was a huge chance it might get to the male lead's ear as at this period of time he should be searching for the twins.

The male lead was currently staying in this city, therefore going to the police was undoubtedly digging her own grave.

Ruby could feel her glass heart shattered to pieces.

Her face was red and swollen from the slap.

She ashamedly called, "Hello.. big brother?"
