In a certain huge cave chamber, where the only sounds that could be heard were the drops of water that generating the stalagmites around the area that acted as decorations of the cave system.

The peaceful silence was disrupted by the sound of a rushing burst of fire. A particular Leather skinned frog tried to flee while its entire body was completely covered in fire.

However, the White wolf that chasing the Leather skinned frog easily got caught up in it. The White wolf used its frontal foot and stepped on the currently burning frog.

The White wolf positioned its head right above the Leather skinned frog's head. The White wolf opened its mouth and discharged a fireball out of its mouth and blasted it in the head of the struggling Leather skinned frog.

After confirming that its prey was already dead, the White wolf gnawed its meal.

However, the White wolf stopped when it noticed something forming above its head, and before the White wolf could even react a white thunder materialized out of thin air and struck it. The deafening sound of thunder echoed throughout the chamber.

After unleashing an agonized cry, the White wolf fell to the ground beside the Leather skinned frog it just killed, and a considerable amount of smoke came out of its body indicating how much damage it took from the attack.

The culprit revealed himself and gaze upon the still breathing White wolf.

[Thunder Magic.]

[A skill that grants the ability to invoke and manipulate Thunder magic to a moderate extent.]

"I see, so the white one can use fire magic. This is the first time I've seen a monster use some kind of elemental magic. But, for an evolved monster, isn't its skill too weak? The fireballs that it used earlier were just as strong as my level 5 fire of my Nature's blessing."

"Please tell it has nothing to do with me putting all my skill points to my offensive skills without even considering on my defense, like a freaking glass cannon."

[Correct.]

"Well good luck to me after taking a slap from an insect."

The White wolf slowly stood up while darting its orange glowing eyes on him. The persisting wolf's body trembled due to the damage it just took.

The White wolf growled and open its mouth preparing to unleash its fireball.

"That's why it managed to survive after taking such extent of an attack."

He activated two Thunder magic and blasted them simultaneously right to the head of White Wolf.

The enormous White wolf fell and perished.

"If I remembered it correctly, I saw a jet black-furred one before."

The cries of Cave bats resounded from the distance indicating that something was about to come.

"And here she comes again. I'm starting to wonder how come she can easily found me whenever I go. Now, I'm 87℅ sure that it has something to do with her skill set."

He activated his Wind magic and launched himself towards the hole in the wall that he used to get inside the chamber.

"I really need to deal with her because I'm not fond of the thought of some stalker following me around."

The cries of the Cave bats slowly arrived at his current location. Some of the Cave bats went inside the chamber out of fear and scattered around the ceiling of the Cave.

"For now, let's retreat and do a proper planning of how to defeat her while increasing my level."

By using a tunnel inside the small hole of the cave's stone wall, he left the area unscathed.

He spent the passing few days utilizing guerrilla tactics, killing some monsters that he was confident that he could beat while keeping an eye on the Gaia centipede.

With his current strength, defeating monsters like the White wolf and Iron skinned frogs was no longer a huge task for him.

Because of it, he went on a period of relentless hunt.

The reign of terror occurred. With only one current goal in his mind. To learn more and become stronger.

However, he was far from being invincible, despite possessing some reliable skills, he was completely aware that taking any amount of damage could easily result in a devastating defeat on his side if he failed to play his cards right.

Due to the current benefits that the Cave bats providing in his favor, he avoided attacking the Cave bats and use them as his signal once the Gaia centipede was about to arrive, he also realized that hunting around the places where the colonies of Cave bats were gathering was proven to be a great idea.

Once the Cave bats nearby showed any signs of distress he will immediately take his retreat and left behind whatever he was doing.

And after days and days of playing hide and seek with each other. The decisive day finally arrived.

A raging roar resounded near him and a set of sharp fangs rushed its way to take a bite on him.

[Black Wolf level 5.]

"Easy there, doggie!"

The wind magic blasted him away from the fangs of the wolf that he was currently fighting.

"How many of them?"

He activated his Thunder magic but the black wolf that charging at him suddenly disappeared into the darkness and his attack struck nothing.

[Error.]

[No vision to analyze.]

"Shadow blending wolves are such a big pain! I didn't expect an ambush, are you by chance holding a grudge against me?"

He activated his Wind magic to blast him off away from the enemies, but a rushing set of fangs nearly chomped him to pieces.

He activated his Wind magic to evade the attack. "The hell!"

He activated his fire magic and around 30 small fireballs floated around the small cave system he was in. The entire tunnel lit up enough for the Black wolves that hiding behind the shroud of darkness to get revealed.

[Quantity 5.]

[Individual level ranging from level 5 to 7.]

"Great, right? I learned this technique from the White wolves, some of them can actually utilize impressive fire magic techniques. Now, You can no longer hide inside the shadows, if there's no shadow to hide on."

The black wolves growled as they darted their pitched black eyes on him.

"I know this spot was your 'former' territory, but I'm gonna need this place for something. A friend of mine will arrive here any moment now. How about this, kindly retreat and I would be kind enough to let all of you go unlike what I did to your comrades a few days ago, sounds good, right?"

As if the Black wolves understood what he just said and all at once jumped on him while showing their fangs.

"Is that a no? Too bad."

Simultaneously, all the 30 floating fireballs instantly expanded in size and glowed brighter.

"Being a light is not the only purpose of these fireballs."

While in the mid-air, the only thing that the group of black wolves could do was to watch.

"Ground zero."

The fireballs obliterated everything caught up in it except for the skill user.

The corpses of Black wolves fell to the ground while their entire body got incinerated.

"I don't know how, but I really grew accustomed in this body."

[You level up.]

"Wow, I didn't expect a level up."

The sound of cries of bats from the distance echoed at the cave system.

"My date is finally here, I'm pretty sure that she would love the venue I have personally prepared for her."
