"so... Why are we trying to find the source of this mysterious evolved evil beasts again? Because I don't quite get why we would need to risk our lives for nothing" Katsumi asked.
"What are you talking about? I thought you were the heroic one here. If we find and destroy the source of this problem, the people might see us as actual heroes! Heroes! Katsumi" I replied.
"Heroes?!" Her eyes sparkled as she heard what I said. "What are we waiting for? Let's go find what we need to find already!
We now went to the area where the old villager told us. Then all of a sudden a group of evil beast appeared.
"Looks like we finally arrived!" We attacked every enemy we see. As the numbers of them increased, we knew we were heading to the right direction.
In a distance, we saw a tall tower guarded by some strong looking evil beasts. Before I even think of a plan, Katsumi already defeated the guards. As we entered the tower, I felt a strong aura coming from the higher floors. Then I remembered, towers like this have guardians on each floor. As you go higher, the stronger the enemy gets. Then the guardian of the first floor appeared in front of us.
I told Katsumi. "Be careful, it looks like it won't be as easy as we thought".
I went left and Katsumi went right. Katsumi swung her sword with all her might, but it didn't even scratched the guardian's skin. I sneaked behind the guardian while it was facing Katsumi. I attacked it with a barrage of ice projectiles and made some damage. It then blocked itself with It's sheild.
The guardian can only be damaged with magic, so Katsumi has no way of fighting it. While I take the guardian's attention and made a opening, I used physical boost magic on Katsumi so she can atleast damage the guardian a little.
Katsumi then damaged the guardian's arms to weaken the enemy's grip on it's sheild. I then realized that the guardian's weak point is it's eyes. I then aimed on the eyes with my ice barrage. It slowly weakened and lose it's physical barrier. Katsumi then sliced it's head like butter.
In a corner, we saw a chest filled with gold. We also saw a key. Maybe it's for the next floor above. We then went up to floor 2, 3 and 4 but on the 5th floor, I drained all my mana and Katsumi's sword is almost broken. Our enemy here is a hollowed tiger. It can make itself untouchable when attacking. My magic can't even touch it. We were like fighting with air. The hollowed tiger then approached me and swung it's huge claws. I have no way of dodging this. Is this where I die?.
But before it even reached me, a fairy came out of my bag. "Disappear" the fairy said while touching the hollow head of the tiger. The hollowed tiger then disappeared like smoke.
"A fairy?! They actually exist!" Katsumi said in surprise. "Thank you! We almost got turned into sliced meat by those huge claws. And also, what were you doing inside my bag?" I asked the fairy.
"I was already in your bag when you were still outside. I followed the evil beasts to this tower, and I saw you guys fighting them one by one. I was impressed by the way you guys fight, so when you guys entered the tower, I also went inside the bag." The fairy replied.
"Once again I thank you for saving our lives. Since you saved us, can I ask your name?" I asked.
"I'm Feya, a multi element fairy, I am able to control air, water, and leaf. It looks like this guy here can use two elements pretty well. I came from an ancient hidden river inside the nearest forest from here." She said.
"What should we do now? My mana is drained and Katsumi's sword is almost destroyed." We have no way of continuing to the next floor.
"Don't you worry! I can help!" Feya then restored my mana by 50% and fixed Katsumi's sword with the hollowed tiger's metal claws. "Now we're good to go!" Feya said while we changed at the next floor.
