The clapping noises and cheers from people, the sounds of the gongs and oboe have woken up Lin Wen. She feels her eyes heavy and her head dizzy. Lin Wen notices herself dressed in a red Han Fu wedding dress. Where is she?
Lin Wen slid open the curtain of the window and saw a street of people that dress so weirdly. She pinched herself again to make sure she wasn't seeing things.
"Ouch" as she realized this isn't a dream.
Lin Wen tries to remember what happened.....
It was her first day of work after graduating from the Police Academy, but on the way to work, there was this thief that ran past her. And of course, she ran after him, but from out of nowhere a car came and crashed into her.
Lin Wen doesn't remember what happened after, all she knows is that she's gonna get married soon to someone who she doesn't know.
The carriage comes to a stop and the matchmaker walks up to open the curtain door.
"Miss, we're here." She says.
Lin Wen isn't sure what to do. She watched historical dramas before, but now that she has to do it, Lin Wen is lost.
Lin Wen takes a deep breath, "I can do it," as she says it under her breath. Wherever this goes, she'll figure it out.
She steps out of the carriage with the red veil overhead. Lin Wen takes the matchmaker's hand and walks up the stairs where the groom is there. The matchmaker hands over Lin Wen's hand and places it on the groom's. Lin Wen could feel the difference right after the switch. From where she can see, his hand is big. Bigger than hers, but it gives her a sense of safety.
He takes her hand, and both of them walk in. The guests at the side cheers and Lin Wen could feel her heart panicking. She wants to find a way out, but she knows that now is not the right time.
They finally come to a stop, and Lin Wen notices two people sitting in front of them. But Lin Wen couldn't see their faces.
As Lin Wen thinks about what's next in an ancient time wedding, the matchmaker starts saying "First Bow to Heaven and Earth!"
As Lin Wen is still lost in thoughts, she notices him turning and she finally remembers from the dramas she watches. Lin Wen turns with him, and bows.
"Second Bow to Parents!"
They both turn around and bow to the male's parents who are sitting in front of them.
"Third Bow to Spouse!"
Lin Wen turns to face him, and both of them bow to each other.
A while later, Lin Wen is brought into a room, while the other guests are eating and drinking at the wedding banquet. Lin Wen takes off the veil herself and looks around the room. The room is filled with red decor and many wedding traditional musts.
She knows for a fact that this isn't a dream or acting. This is real, she time traveled. She looks at herself in the mirror and notices it's the same face. But Lin Wen can't exactly remember who she is in this world. There's no memory at all.
Suddenly the door opened, and a man walked in. He's also dressed in red. Besides the bride and groom, no one else wears red.
'He's the groom?' as she thinks to herself while staring at him.
He's tall, handsome, and attractive. Lin Wen saw many handsome men in her present world, but this is a different story.
"Are you done staring?" he asks in a cold voice.
