Jumping and skipping Adrien reached home while buying a stack of pages and ink too. Adrien was happy but still thought how good it would have been only if he could check information directly without writing it down.
When he reached home and opened the door, he said "I am home!". Why?
Because he didn't live alone! As for who this other who lived with the protagonist was, it was none other than Baron's daughter whom Adrien himself sent to bandits.
This girl was too quick-witted. While all the way he thought he was sending a sheep into a wolf's den, he was wrong. This girl single-handedly manipulated the bandit leader and lived like a queen. She was even going to get away the very day when Baron had attacked the bandits and she was almost caught.
Adrien in guilt that he couldn't save her before, killed the apprentice knight and secretly hid her in the forest, and the next day brought her into his home.
For a while Adrien had a thought, Baron might have spread the rumors to make an image of a tyrant… 'No, I am thinking too much… that guy is an arse-hole, no way he could have planned that…'.
But not this or that, this girl does is terrifying. Adrien had this very thought. She was way too quick-witted. She might someday sell him and he might even help her count the money without knowing him.
So, whenever Adrien talked to her, he would have his A.I on full drive. No mistakes or slipups were allowed, not a single one.
The girl was hiding behind the wall ready to strike with a sharp kitchen knife or run through the window. Now, don't laugh at the kitchen knife, it was sharp as hell and heavy enough to slice his neck without resistance.
Well, civilians of course are not allowed to have sharp weapons, maybe some exceptions are allowed? Adrien didn't know, nor he was interested in knowing as everyone had some kind of sharp weapon in their house in this town. No case of dammed theft… Knights patrols were nothing but stroll after eating food here…
"Oh, it is you!" Anna raised her knife and exclaimed.
"Of course, it's me, now lower the knife and let me come in…" Adrien saved his neck and came in.
"Fast, we need to eat dinner!" Anna exclaimed.
It was not that she was ready to eat because she had already prepared the dinner, but she was waiting for him to prepare the food. Adrien now had some idea why the Baron had sent her to bandits… no way anyone could do anything to her.
'This little ape…' Adrien sighed and said, "Okay okay…"
Adrien prepared the dinner but every time he made it, he felt it lacked something. In his previous life, every spice was available online if not in stores nearby. With them, he could prepare more delicious food. But here, he couldn't. But for the little ape it was way too delicious. Even more delicious than the food prepared by the chefs of the Baron's, she almost ate her fingers last time, thank god he smacked her head at right time and stopped her.
After the dinner, Adrien went into his room and left Anna to her own devices. She was not much old just two years younger than Adrien.
Inside his room, Adrien commanded A.I to simulate the technique given by Baron and he found something horrifying. Every time he practiced this technique, he would get some results but the technique would leave him addicted to it. He would feel like practicing this technique again and again, but if he practiced this technique for five or more years, he would have nothing left but a bloodless corpse, a 'top grade fertilizer…'
"A.I, compile a technique with the technique given by Baron."
[Beep, the task will be completed in 9:43:59…]
"Nine hours, huh? A.I, stop that for now and create a library with all possible combinations of alphabets in the Zowain language."
Adrien remembered that in his previous life there was a library, which held all possible combinations and compiled them. It was known as the Library of Babel. But the problem was it held so many combinations that finding correct information was impossible. But maybe, with A.I and the ability with which he can find omissions and errors, maybe he can find the correct information.
He gave the task to A.I and find matching combinations of the knight technique that he compiled after watching knights practicing every day and the incomplete and deadly technique that he got from Baron today, and A.I did that. But even after giving so much information, there were still more than a hundred thousand books to be shortlisted.
But what gave Adrien headache was that every book had more than thirty thousand words. He could only task A.I to keep searching and shortlisting while giving quick simulations to the techniques that worked and gave some results. If not for A.I, Adrien didn't think he could ever cover so much data in his whole life.
But no matter what, A.I really was fast. But even then, the estimated time was a whole month!
All Adrien could do was give A.I a task to simultaneously compile the data of knight technique which he previously stopped. But now it was taking twenty hours.
[Compiling Knight Practice session data and Bloodless Eroding Technique.]
[Estimated Time: 20:09:37]
Seeing the estimated time Adrien thought he might as well sleep but when he looked at the pile of paper, he bought today. Adrien didn't have tears to cry…
He spent two whole gold coins on them. Adrien really felt he should use his mind more. These days, he felt due to using A.I too much he was getting brainless.
…
Adrien woke up and greeted Anna. She was hugging her plush pony toy which had a single horn. This girl, she was nineteen now but still loved those cute toys.
Well, she was happy, what else could he ask… These were Adrien's thoughts.
She was literate and reading and writing were no problem for her. As she would usually get bored, he had her a book of riddle and some novels compiled for her.
Now, don't ask how he didn't find that error or omission telling technique when he was compiling novels and riddles for her, it was just these fictional things wouldn't give any result when touched. It was almost uncanny how this ability could do such things.
"Well, lucky me…" Adrien smirked.
"Lucky…?" Anna looked at him with a strange look and took a couple of steps back into her room and shut the door.
*Critical Hit*
Seeing this Adrien had black lines on his forehead… this girl really was a headache…
He ignored Anna and fetched water, took a bath, and after wearing the so-called uniform, he went to the barracks to find what his duty was for today. Even if he had plans to escape, it didn't seem he could accomplish them in near future.
So, he honestly went to the barracks. But when he reached the barracks, he found everyone was looking at him with a strange look. It was then Adrien remembered what he did yesterday and slapped his forehead. Of course, they would see him like that when he fell on the ground like that, it was too much of a confusing situation.
Now, everyone thought he was an arse kisser…
