" I told you my name. That counts."
" Nope," she shook her head " not at all. I also noticed that Lucy speaks a little bit like a black. Permit my asking, but was her mom a black?"
Anthony frowned as he answered "Yes. What did she say to you?"
" Now, now, don't be suspicious. She didn't say anything about anything but I just did. Don't tell her that I said she spoke like a black she would cut off my head."
" It doesn't matter. She speaks like that when I'm not around."
" How do you know?"
" I have two other kids at home. Just bribe them and they sell her out. Smart aren't I? Charmed I'm sure."
" Charmed my foot."Lia said while gasping for air as she slowed down. They were almost quarter of the estate.
"Why are there two more buildings? I thought you lived alone" she asked
He pointed at the one at the far left side "that one used to belong to my parents and my younger sister. The other one,"he pointed at the other one at the right, "belonged to my elder brother. My sister is now staying with my grandfather. Let's continue our little exercise and turn back. I'll take you to the gym at the mansion." Lia could see pain in his eyes when he explained to her but it vanished immediately. So to brighten up the moody atmosphere, she replied " Yes sir, Mr Tonio, your wish is my command" she curtsied and he smiles. " Come on, let's go"he took her hand and ran towards his own mansion before she could even refute.
Later that morning, she prepared breakfast of fresh orange juice and sandwiches for them with the bacon, sausages and eggs that she found in the cupboard and for Anthony, she made black coffee.
"Thank you for the food, nanny Lia." each of them told her after the meal. Lucy added in a whisper for only Lia to hear "You're doing a good job. As long as you keep this up, you'll have no trouble here."
"Are you threatening me?" Lia whispered back.
"Me,threat?" Lucy asked and pouted. "You really think of me in that manner?" Lucy added.
"Don't fake sadness girl. I'm not going to fall for that."
" Aye! You figured it out. You're too smart for my liking, maybe I should just tell dad to fire you."
" I know what you need baby doll."
" A spa day?"Lucy asked enthusiastically
" No. It's attention."
Lucy frowned " what do you mean?"
" Your mom died early I believe and your dad has always been busy with work all day long,all the time."
Lucy turned grim " What do you know? Just because I act rudely does NOT give you the right to look down on me or my family. My dad hiring a nanny doesn't mean that he doesn't have time for us. You can retire if you don't want the job. Pops didn't hire you to lecture me."
" Wow. That was well said even though I didn't mean to pry into your personal and family life. I'm sorry. Am I forgiven? " Lia looked at her with puppy eyes.
Lucy sighed "Don't try doing the puppy eyes. It's not cute on you. You look like a whining bulldog."Lia frowned but not surprised at her vile tongue so she did not comment. "Where the everyone?"Lucy asked changing the topic as she looked around.
" We talked a lot for a long time and didn't notice when they left. Come on, let's prepare for church."
" Ch…church? You want us to go to church?"Lucy asked wide-eyed.
" Don't you?"
"We do go to church, but you see, I'm really sleepy. I haven't had a good night sleep for the past few nights. So good night."Lucy said as she dashed into her brothers' room where the boys were sharing Robin's bed. She locked the door and went over to Nathan's bed and lay down and murmured "That was a close one. Daddy would have cut off my head" she shrieked as she imagined it and she held her neck.
Meanwhile, Lia was still in shock. She witnessed the speed Lucy used to run away "Wow. The girl is a runner." Lia said as she shook her head "She has one hell of a speed. I bet she takes first place in school races." she started doing the dishes.
